Meeting with Tanya

Later that day, Bethany came to Finn and told him that Tanya was out of her last class for the day. He followed her and Beth presented him.

"Hi, Tanya, this is Finn. He helps me with some classes I have difficulties with."

Tanya was of polish origins, pale completion, long blond hairs, dark blue eyes and 5 feet 11 tall. A real beauty... with a bitch resting face. That was why she was still single.

She looked at Finn with a condescending look.

"Yeah, so ?" She said.

"Well, I promised to present him to you in exchange for the help, so I'll leave you two." Beth explained.

"What's wrong with you ? You don't have to do shit, he should already be happy to be next to you in class. Get yourself together, girl, and never pull that shit ever again." Tanya yelled at her.

She then left without a look at Finn.

Beth turned to him.

"Sorry, like I said, she's kind of a bitch." She told him.

"Yeah... I wonder why you're still her friend."

Bethany seemed to be lost in her thoughts.

"I... don't know. I wasn't better not so long ago, I don't know how or why I realized that all that crap was meaningless. And now being friend with her seems wrong..."

She then left too, perplexed, and mumbling some excuse.

Finn left to the dormitory, thinking that he should make Tanya a better person too.

In the room Karma was ecstatic.

"Holly shit, I passed that test with so much ease ! You should have seen this, I knew every answers and I nailed that shit !" She told him.

At least someone is happy today. He thought.

"You still have the marker ? This thing is dope !" She then asked before he could give her a word on her last assessment.

"Yeah... why ?" Finn answered her.

"I want to ask Jenny on a date, but... well... I freeze every time I try. So I want to make myself confident."

"Hum, ok, but be careful with it..."

"Don't worry ! I'm the genius here !"

He gave her the marker and she wrote on her arm.

Confident

Without any second thought, she then used the permanent part.

Karma took a deep breath, threw the marker in Finn's hands and said.

"Wish me luck !"

Before storming out of the room.

Karma came back twenty minutes later, her eyes red and her lower lips shacking.

Finn left his studies to go to her.

"She said no, isn't it."

His best friend nodded and jumped in his arms to cry. He hugged her and tried to calm her with kind words.

After a moment he asked her.

"Wanna take a drink at the campus bar ?"

"Yes..." *sob*
