Lois Lets Dick Buy Her A Drink

Tequila. Good tequila, no need for the salt and the lime. They found a small table in a corner, dark, but a little bit quieter. They didn't have to shout at each other.

"So Dick," Lois said, as the liquor warmed her belly. "What brings you here?"

His smile was bright as a new penny. Real people didn't have smiles like that. It was too white, too perfect. It spoke of serious dental work, and the reporter knew that there was something more to her blue-eyed friend. "Dick Grayson," she said. "You're Bruce Wayne's ward."

So he knows who I am too, Lois thought.

"I might have a lead for you," she said, her heart pounding in her chest. "If you have something for me."

"What's that?" he asked.

"I...have a girlfriend," he said.
