Escape!

Lights flickered and died. Lois Lane's antennae waved about. She could sense something...the tiny voices in the walls and the floor were moving agitatedly. The insect-headed reporter could feel a sense of agitation within her, something was coming...from below...

There was a crash from behind them as some of the others collapsed the tunnel, blocking pursuit. Lois moved forward, the hard forms brushing against her skin, antennae bobbing. There was information here...like they were talking to one another. She could tell them each apart, almost taste the difference between them.

The sense of anticipation grew as they went along. She could sense more of their kind up ahead, and something else. They moved faster, Lois struggling to keep up, yet she didn't think they'd leave her behind.
