Chapter 21 by Zeebop Zeebop

The End

Epilogue: Whatever Happened To Lois Lane?

FRIENDS AND FAMILY REMEMBER MISSING REPORTER

Clark Kent stared at the byline. It was a good article. Perry White had loved it. The people at the office had wept as they read it. Tomorrow, when it hit Metropolis, he knew that the city would mourn the missing women who would always be, now, the Daily Planet's Greatest Reporter.

"If only they knew the truth," he said, shaking his head. He took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. It had been a week since he had slept. Long months since he had left the Fortress for anything except an emergency. With a burst of motion, he changed out his civilian clothes for his Kryptonian costume.

A small robot, gleaming gold, floated into the room.

"Master? The latest results are in."

The reporter eased himself away from the chair. Here in his fortress of solitude, his footsteps echoed among the Kryptonian crystal architecture. His people had designed their places with such odd acoustics. There were corridors that seemed to whisper, while others were eerily silent. He followed the small robot into the central chamber.

Lois Lane lay suspended within what had one been his own birthing matrix. Small crystal probes pinned her head in place, and she floated serene and naked. Around him, all the remaining technology of Krypton was at work on the mammoth task of repairing the damage done by Lex Luthor's inept bumbling. Superman walked over to the terminal and made the familiar moves.

"Neural repair 95% complete. Projected time for completion: 29 hours, 21 minutes, 18 seconds. Biological status: green." He translated the Kryptonese readout out loud. A finger stabbed out, and he silently looked at the details. The personality reconstructive wasn't 100% yet...there would be possible issues with trauma, especially when she realized she had lost a year of her life. And saw the state of her body.

His eyes flicked to the penis that floated between her legs.

"Status of red kryptonite changes?" He said out loud.

"Kryptonian DNA graft has stabilized," the robot said. "Surgical options remain available to remove male genitalia."

"Hmm," he tapped the side of the console. "No. It's her body. We'll let her make that decision."

Superman wandered over to stand up close to the tank. From here, he could see her slit, buried in a year's worth of dark pubic hair, beneath the free-floating cock. Tubes invaded Lois Lane's entire orifice. Feeding her air or nutrient fluid, removing waste from her anus and urethra, and then there was the special tube, the one that slid up inside her pussy...

"How many embryos do we have?" He said.

"Subject Lois Lane has expelled thirteen unfertilized eggs as part of her normal cycle. Eight were rejected as unstable. Three failed fertilization. The remaining five have been fertilized with your semen. Embryos will need to be implanted or cryogenically stored for future use within twenty-four hours."

His palms were sweaty.

"Is it safe to implant them now?"

"Subject's womb is now enhanced with Kryptonian tissues. Implantation conditions optimal."

"How long would it take to implant all of the fertilized embryos?"

"18 hours, 16 minutes, 12 seconds."

Superman hung his head. He should wait. Should ask her. Let her make the choice. It was her own body, after all. Then again...if the neural reconstruction didn't work...

"Implant the embryos," he said. He reached up and touched the clear surface of the birthing matrix. "Lois...if this works...I hope you'll forgive me."

A hand laid on Superman's shoulder. Even tired as he was, the Man of Steel had to smile.

"How do you do that?"

"She'll understand, Clark." Batman said, his voice a quiet growl. "What do you want to do about Luthor?"

Superman sighed. It had barely registered when Batman had announced Lex Luthor's capture.

Luthor had been chained and gagged on the crystal dias. His green eyes flared in anger. There were bruises on his face.

"What happened to him?" Superman asked, as his eyes met with the villain's.

"Alfred says he fell down some stairs," Batman said. "He always like Lois, you know."

Superman did not smile. The Phantom Zone Projector stood ready and waiting.

"No court would convict you, Luthor," he said. "And your crimes deserve no advertisement. The lives you've ruine..."

Superman shook his head. "No, no speech. This isn't justice, and it isn't ****. You're a danger to others. I hope...you find some peace, in the Phantom Zone."

A finger pressed a button. There was a flash of light...and the dias was empty.

"He might come back, you know," Batman said. "There are Kryptonian criminals there..."

"I won't commit ****," Superman said. "As far as I'm concerned, that's the end of it. Tomorrow...tomorrow, hopefully, the worst of the damage will be undone. That's what's important."

"You're a good man, Clark."

The Man of Steel smiled.

"There are some people that claim that everyone is one bad day away from sanity to lunacy. I don't believe that. Adversity tests us, and shows us who we really are." He clapped his friend on the shoulder. "I'm not a murderer."

"No," Batman smiled back. "But if Lois goes through with that pregnancy, you will be a father."

In the birthing matrix, as Kryptonian science rebuilt Lois Lane's brains, five embryos were gently pushed up the tube that ran the length of the dickgirl reporter's vaginal canal, through her cervix, to her uterus...there to attach themselves. Already superhumanly durable, the Fortress of Solitude's robots calculated a 97% chance of successful implantation of all five embryos. The next generation of Krypton was in Lois Lane's womb.
