Chapter 21 by Zeebop Zeebop

The End

Epilogue: Hard Calls

"...the extra skin on your abdomen can be cleared up with a tummy tuck. Very common with new mothers, don't worry. We'll want you to wait and heal a few weeks before the surgery consult. You will want to be careful with sexual activity in the meantime," the doctor told her.

Bleary-eyed, the reporter looked at the woman. The baby was latched onto her nipple, sucking away like a little machine. Twenty-four hours ago, Lois Lane wouldn't imagine that she'd be breastfeeding, or have a daughter...but here they were, in the hospital. Lois wasn't sure it was lack of sleep or "pregnancy brain" that was making it so hard to focus, but she zeroed in on those last few words.

"Sex?" She asked. "I'd heard that if a mother is breastfeeding that..."

"Old wives' tale," the doctor said. "The hormones released from breastfeeding can inhibit ovulation, but it's not a guarantee. You have to remember Mrs. Lane—"

"Miss," Lois said automatically. "We're not married. Yet."

"—you just gave birth. Your body is still ready for pregnancy. Any unprotected sex could result in another pregnancy very easily."

"Right," Lois said. That made sense. "No sex. Got it."

The birth certificate declared her Lilith Lane, although Lois had already settled on "Lily." The father was listed as Angelica Blaze. In her head, Lois was already calling her "Angie." The reporter still wasn't sure what she was doing with Angie...a literal demon. Except she had Lily to think of now.

By the time Lois had finished up with aftercare with the doctor, Angie had gotten the car seat. And the car. Lois Lane had slid into the Lexus, body aching from the birth. She just wanted to go home...

Lois carried the baby. Angie carried a build-it-yourself crib, high chair, stacks of diapers and baby food and clothes. The reporter felt conscientious letting the dickgirl demon into her apartment, but Blaze said nothing, just staked out a spot for the crib and started assembling. The new mother looked down at her baby, who was sleeping, warm, cheeks soft and puffy.

What am I going to do with you? The reporter asked herself. Her hips and pussy were still aching, all the muscles from her labor stiff and painful. Every movement hurt. Lois knew that she had to call into work...call her sister...her father...and she didn't relish thinking about the earful she would get on introducing Lily to her family.

But there was no time like the present. As Angie puzzled over instructions, Lois fired up her laptop and started a videocall with her sister...

"Hey Lucy," Lois gave the best smile she could manage. "So...I know this is a bit of a surprise, but it turns out I was pregnant and didn't know it..."

There were shrieks. Tears. Yelling. Happy yelling. Lucy wanted to know everything, cooed at the sleeping baby, asked a million questions. Lois answered as much as she dared. The hard part was the bit about the father...the reporter glanced at the bedroom, where the crib was slowly taking shape.

"We're...together. No, we haven't married yet. Yes, I will invite you if we...no we haven't set a date..." Hell, we haven't even talked about getting married yet, the reporter said to herself. "...Lucy, I love you, but I need to call dad and let him know the news...yeah, I'm sure he'll be thrilled...okay, we'll talk soon. Yes, absolutely. Love you, bye Sis."

The call ended, Lois let herself exhale. Angie popped her head in from the other mood.

"We're getting married?"

Lois looked at her. In human form, Blaze looked insufferably cute.

"We need to talk about it," the reporter said.

"Okay." An unreadable expression crossed those features. "In some cultures we'd already be considered married."

"This is the United States of America," Lois said. "We're not married just because I fucked you."

"Okay. Just saying. Wife."

Lois shot a glare, but Blaze was back around the corner in the bedroom, working on the crib.

She started the second video call. "Hey dad..."

He took it well, all things told. The gruff face actually broke into a smile as he saw his first granddaughter.

"Lily? Your mother would have liked that name." The old man said, and Lois felt her heart leap at that little show of approval. "So, do I have a son-in-law?"

Lois winced. "No. The...father and I are together, but we're not married. Yet. The whole pregnancy was a surprise, dad. I...missed the signs."

He grunted. "But he's willing to do the right thing?"

The new mother sighed. "Yes. In fact, just asked me to marry them."

"What did you say?"

"We need to talk about it. I didn't say no dad, there's just...other stuff to work through. I didn't plan on any of this."

That was certainly true. Lois had never thought one night would so turn her world upside down.

They said their goodbyes. Lois leaned back. The crib was almost together. The reporter straightened up...and made the third video call, to Perry White, editor at the Daily Planet.

"Lane!" he growled, an unlit cigar in his mouth. "Where are y—is that a baby? Where did you get a baby?"

"Made her myself. Perry, I had some abdominal pains last night and ended up at the hospital...and, um, this is Lily Lane...my daughter. I just got back from the hospital. Surprise to us all."

His eyes grew wide. The stogie fell out of his mouth.

"Great Caesar's ghost," he whispered. Lois could almost hear the gears clicking in his head. "I guess you're going to want to talk about the Daily Planet's maternity leave policy..."

Which was fairly generous; most of the office was working from home anyway, and Lois was ahead on her work. It was all going well...until Perry asked the wrong question.

"So, should I congratulate Kent as well?" He joked.

Lois Lane's face fell. "Clark isn't the father, Perry. I haven't told him yet. He doesn't know."

The editor's mouth opened, then shut. The reporter remembered the old phrase about the most dangerous dog shit being odorless and transparent. You only find out about it when you step into it.

"Right. Right. Okay...well, in any case, congratulations!" He **** a smile. Lois did the same. Call ended.

"The crib is ready!" Angie said. "Let me get some food together, you must be starved."

Lois smiled her thanks. Clark Kent. Superman. She had been trying not to think about that particular complication. This was going to devastate him, one way or another. A part of Lois wondered what would happen if she just told him the truth, straight up, the magical pregnancy, reincarnating those four women, all of it...but then she thought of Lily, and Lois knew she wouldn't do anything that would endanger her daughter. At least Blaze was here, making an effort. Lois wasn't sure how she would have made it even this far without her.

Lily went in the crib. Food went on the table. Nothing fancy, some kind of stir fry. But it was hot and salty and it filled Lois Lane's stomach. With the meal came pills from the hospital: chewable painkillers, vitamins. She was breastfeeding, after all, had to make sure she had enough for Lily...

Exhausted as she was, Lois felt it harder and harder to move. After dinner, the reporter managed to go to the bathroom on her own, but on the way out she sagged against the doorframe...and Angie was there, taking her arm, half-guiding and half-carrying the tired reporter to bed. Lois was too tired to even object what Blaze stripped her out of her clothes, and slide beneath the sheets with her.

Facing the crib, Lois Lane's breath began come in slow and deep. Something hard pressed against her sore pussy. She knew what it was. The reporter remembered what the doctor had said, knew she had to say something...and then Blaze slid her cock into the new mother's aching pussy from behind.

"I do consider you my wife," Angie whispered as she began to move gently, wrapping her arms around the reporter as they both stared at where their daughter was sleeping. "The mother of my child. The mother of all my children..."

Lois shook as the cock split her aching pussy apart. The heat built up beneath the sheets. Already the reporter's mind was traveling ahead...to how soon they could get married, before she started to show with the next one...
