Chapter 7 by jealco jealco

Turn back and follow the river, or keep going along the cliff?

Continue along the cliff

Mackenzie sighed deeply. The cliff represented her best bet of getting home with the least number of people seeing her. She'd just have to tough it out, and hope this part of her journey would be over soon.

She set off again, and was promptly attacked by the brush. Branches slapped her legs, stomach, and sides, and constantly snared themselves on her clothes, forcing her to stop and work them free. Her right nipple quickly bounced free of her tank top again, and she stopped to tuck it away again, annoyed with how easily it came free.

After about a half an hour, Mackenzie paused for a moment, as the knot in her strap came untied. Swearing at it, she fumbled with it until she managed to get it tied again. She'd made it maybe a half a mile, if she was lucky, without finding a place to climb the cliff. Her feet were sore, her sides and legs stung in a dozen different locations, and she was downright tired of freeing herself from the brush every couple of steps, never mind tucking her breast away all the time. She was, to say the least, rather pissed with the events of the last hour.

As she swiped her arm across her brow, Mackenzie reassessed her clothes. While a few of the tears were a little larger, she'd managed to avoid doing too much more damage to her shorts and tank top. She desperately wanted to be free of this brush, and she scanned the cliff face again, hoping she would find a path up.

Does she find what she is looking for?
