A Wand

It was about four inches long, nearly an inch and a half in diameter at the base, tapering very slightly to a rounded tip. Lois judged it to be bone or ivory; it had that off-white creamy color, fading to yellow at the edges. Gently incised in the surface were symbols, lines, dots and circles.

"Either I've just pulled out an ancient Greek sex toy," the reporter wondered aloud. "Or this is some kind of magic wand."
