Percy said with a smirk and a joking tone that completely infuriated Faye, she didn't even hesitate to scream at him and express all the hate she was feeling for him as he was acting so annoying and cruel.

Now tell me why in the hell would you do something like that!!!" - Faye yelled enraged as he found Percy so disgusting that she just had to scream with so much intensity that even he got scared of her so after realizing his joke wasn't a good idea he knew he had to explain her the situation and calm her down so she wouldn't worry as much, although he knew very well that she wasn't going to stop hating him that easily because of his terrible joke and for the fact the damage and trauma he caused to Maria's daughter was already done and he could only apologize.

"Well, i know it seems very bad now but this is exactly why i brought you here, to show you around and so you can see what we do... and i know it was probably traumatizing but i don't think it was that bad... look, i know it wasn't pleasant seeing that but i can at least assure you that she was legal, if that helps... anyways, i don't know if it's possible to apologize to her or her mother right now but i want you to understand that this was necessary for a few reasons..." - Percy tried justifying himself akwardly and while Faye seemed to be listening to him she was still visibly mad at him but now more confused from his explanation and skeptical of his slightly malicious and dishonest tone as she didn't fully believe any of his words.

"You really don't seem to understand how terrible of an act you just commited.. Why did you have to that girl?? "So you had to that daughter to keep your own orcs from destroying the village and other innocent girls or what??" - Faye asked with an aggressive tone as she was just getting to know the nature of an evil demon king like Percy, although she couldn't actually understand it, but when she interrupted him she quickly remembered it was a bad idea so she got worried that she was going to get punished, unfortunately for her Percy was bothered by her so he raised his voice and started being more assertive.

"Yes, we were actually supposed to kill all those villagers but since you were here i decided not to and just a cute villager instead of a ton of them but i think now i'm starting to regret my decision..." - Percy replied with a mean tone as he solved Faye's doubts, she got nervous though and didn't say anything as she tried to understand the situation and saw how Percy got mad at her, she couldn't wrap her head around the idea of Percy deciding not to do one of his usual evil things just because of her, she felt very weird as she didn't know how to feel about the idea of the demon king changing, even when it could be a slow process she had the hope that he could become good or at least a decent person and although it seemed improbable she believed one day he could change, it didn't seem like that change was coming any time soon so she just thought about it without saying anything to Percy as they both stayed mad at each other silently even when they returned to the stagecoach and started heading back to the castle.
