Seeing no one in the hallway outside, I quickly duck back into my apartment, nearly slamming my door closed in my wake.

While the thought of being spotted was absolutely terrifying, I have to admit, if only to myself, that the experience was a touch exhilarating as well.

Once more, I peek out the peep hole in my door, checking one last time to see if anyone entered the hallway after I closed my door. Seeing no one, I let out a little sigh of relief, then pad my way back towards my dining room table.
