Chapter 4

Head to the main hall?

Yes

Grabbing a torch from the small urn near the door, I light it from one of the ones hanging in the hallway, the pitch-soaked rags providing a great light source. I head on the long trek towards the main hall. My family's castle, located in the capitol city, is the largest in the land, even requiring a cart for comfortable travel around it's walls. Built into the side of a mountain, it is an impenetrable fortress, and a marvel of modern engineering. The stone bricks are a comfort of safety and security as I walk past them, periodically running my fingertips on the cold, rough surfaces.

Finally, I reach the main hall, which has already been flooded with impatient members of my family, lords and ladies of the realm, as well as other officials and persons of interest. I take my seat on the elegant place just near the foot of my father's throne, to which my mother waves her hand dissaprovingly, indicating that I sit on the King's throne this time instead. I oblige, sitting in the grand, hand-carved spot only fit for a ruler. It feels uncomfortable to sit on, which I believe is by design. I imagine how my father once looked, seated here.

I peer out into the masses, and see whom I can recognize among the many faces present. It's still some time until I'm meant to address everyone, and hear their concerns, so I take a moment to eye those I know in the room.

My mother, stood facing the crowd, just feet away. I take notice of her large backside, complimented by the tightness of her custom-hemmed dress, and something I'm ashamed to admit I've taken a long look at in the past. From my angle, I can see down into her ample breasts' cleavage, and smile inwardly thinking of how I had suckled on them in the past. She looks back at me, and I quickly avert my eyes before she can notice my slightly perverted gaze.

Marissa at the table across from my mother. My older sister, she's always serious about matters of the realm, a true protégé of our mother's making. She's the spitting image of Roysia, but shorter, and with a slightly larger bust, something I have always been jealous of. Her hair is always kept tightly back in a bun, and she wears square-rimmed glasses. Quite the professional, she dresses very conservatively, but that's still not enough to hide her amazing body from the world, much to her constant irritation. If things were different, she'd be the perfect ruler. However, Marissa seems content with managing the court, and guiding her siblings and other family in financial, political, and governing matters.

Tyfanny, my youngest sibling, is seated next to her. She's just become a woman, and both her naivety and innocence make her into a cute young adult. She's the redhead of my side of the family, with a slender body and short stance. She's very quiet, and typically blushes when made the center of attention or conversation. She sports b-cup breasts and a tight bum, having the body of an athlete, or a dancer. She looks up to me very fondly, and still tends to follow in my every footstep with great interest and appreciation.

Magnus also sits at the table. My older brother, he was raised as a warrior, as is typical fashion for the eldest son of the King. Since birth, he's been trained to be one of the greatest Knights in all the land, and it shows. Serving as the Protector of The Court, he's the King's go-doer. Tall, proud, and a little full of himself, my Magnus is both a loyal and wonderful brother. His brown hair is cut cleanly and short, as is his beard. He's wearing his ceremonial armor, his silver heirloom of a sword tucked away safely in an ornate scabbard on his left hip. His fingers are overlapped, and he sits straight and still, as if awaiting his next order.

Lionell is sat next to him. My little brother, he's the second youngest of the five of you. Choosing to forgo a life politics or combat, he has dedicated himself to the study of magic and the laws of reality. Soon meant to head to the magical University, much to the distaste of your father, he will hone his skills in the use of magic and knowledge. He's a skinny lad, much smaller than either of his brothers, and more like Tyfanny in terms of stature. Still, you've seen him wield a sword from time to time in training, and he's rather capable himself. You have always thought he's a bit too smart for his own good, but you can also admit that he's helped you out more times than you probably deserve. Marissa and him are typically intellectual rivals, with your sister being the more practical of the two.

Well, that's the immediate family. Who else is present?
