Chapter 11 by SimpleWriter SimpleWriter

Does Anna agree to the date?

Yes

"Um, okay," said Anna, still trying to rein in her shocked expression. "I, uh, I'll go get dressed."

"Nothing too sexy!" said Corrine as Anna went to her bedroom.

As Anna changed, she tried to make sense of this. In high school, she'd sat through every pep rally staring at Corrine and wishing she was more like the gorgeous head cheerleader. Tall, well endowed, and blonde like a Swedish calendar model, every guy in school had been in love with her, while nobody had noticed geeky, little Anna. Why was Corrine now trying to get Anna to help her with a guy?

Anna found a cute top. It was red and a lot nicer than anything she'd seen in her wardrobe before, but not too sexy. She put on some jeans and headed out with Corrine.

The cab driver flirted with Anna and ignored Corrine. Even weirder, Corrine acted like this was normal. Every guy on the street and in the front of the restaurant stared at Anna, but not the taller, bustier, clearly hotter friend beside her. It wasn't just Corrine, the whole world had changed.

Then it hit Anna. The first rule she'd changed, almost as a joke, had made it so that Asian American girls not only had multiple boyfriends, but they adored her. That must have made Asian American girls much more attractive than anyone else. So in this new reality, she must have been incredibly popular in high school, which meant she would have had more popular friends.

"Oooooh," said Anna out loud, looking at Corrine and understanding why they were friends now.

Luckily, Corrine didn't notice. She'd found Tom's table. She walked up to the table and said, "Hi, Tom! Introduce Anna to her date!"

Who (and what) is her date?
