Walk around the academy.

You stick out now without your uniform, though you feel like after everything that's happened, you aren't going to get in trouble exploring the grounds for another day without it. The ground are expansive. There's a huge building that houses most of the actual classes, a library, the Grand Master's office building, but also locations for other studies. There's a greenhouse, a gym, and even one with a telescope protruding up from the roof.

As you go, you find Ms. Labing. For some reason, she giggles a lot when she sees you. You aren't certain why. You bring up the picnic with Eva, and she explains that she threw together the outfit and is glad things worked out. Apparently, Eva asked for it in a panic.

You come across Professor Frin next. Though you don't tell her the entire story, you explain that the talisman seal was destroyed. She isn't mad, however. Though she is disappointed she lost a rare creature, she's relieved it isn't in the school anymore. You also think she might know a little more than she lets on. Before you leave, she gives you a pat on the head like a proud mother.

Most people are currently in the dining hall, but are actively funnelling out as you walk by. Dinner has been over for while, and people are getting ready to wind down and go to sleep.

As you stand there idly, Rodney sees you and approaches with a smile. He has a bag in his hand that rattled around as if filled with rocks... because it probably is. "Hey there again!" he says with a wave. "School has never been as fun as it's been with you around. How long are you going to be here for?"

"Not much longer, I'm afraid," you reply.

"Aw. Thanks a shame. Let me at least give you something." He digs around in his bag and pulls out a pebble and places it on your palm. "You were interested in these before, right? Just drop some water in it, and it'll vibrate. Fun at parties! I don't really know what else to use them for... Anyway, I know a rock is a lame present, but I don't really have anything else."

"It's fine, RJ. I've been given mud as a present before." You slip it into your pocket. "What ever happened to Malakae?"

"Lady Vraelion? I have a feeling she won't be at school for a few days after that one. You and Beela are real heroes."

So this is what makes a hero now?

He's suddenly knocked aside by Larsith who makes an appearance next. "Warren. I just want you to know that we will do battle again. The pride of my family requires it."

"All right, The Edge," you mutter.

"Huh? Are you challenging me now?"

"No. Calm down."

"Well, I spoke to the Acting Grand Master, and she said you apprehended the culprit Davella, so I'll let it go this time. But you're still an insult to this school."

"Of course... I'll miss you too."

Everyone disperses back to their dorms. The sun is setting. You think it's about time you head back and see what Eva's gift is. You wonder what she could have procured at a magic academy. Enchanted armour? Another ring? Maybe it's just chocolate. You don't want to be picky. Either way, you head off. It's time for some rest.
