The journey is uneventful.

The journey to the federal penitentary is tedious and uneventful. You and the rest of the newly transformed convicts are still in too much shock for much talk and you sit in sullen silence trying to come to terms mentally with your change. All that is apart from Toni Mauro, the ex hitman seems unfazed by the transformation and in good spirits.

"Hey Blondie, you been in the pen before?" Toni asks you three hours into the journey.

You wearily lift your head which you had been cradling in your hands. Toni has the seat in front of you, with Tamara across the aisle to your side. You can hear Julia behind you cursing and swearing beneath her breath and muffled sobs from Rihanna further back. You look at Toni, her long black hair is tousled and unkempt of course, but even so the petite Italian is a beauty.

"Yeah, but that was years ago. Long before this X-Change shit was on the market and amendment twenty eight." You answer dejectedly.

"I hear you sister. Some change ain't it." Toni says grinning. "Like they say, you ain't never seen an ugly X-Change girl."

"I suppose. You all look beautiful even with messed up hair and no make-up." You admit reluctantly. "But you are all guys, just like me underneath."

"You think that's gonna matter when we get to the pen?" Toni says smirking. "You been in pen before then you know the weak end up as bitches, even before the pink pills were about."

You sit straighter, for a woman you know that you are still quite tall. You were a big muscular guy, even as a chick you are the biggest amongst this small group. If Toni thinks he can try something on with you then you are pretty confident the small Italian is no physical match for you. You give Toni a hard stare.

"You think you or anyone else can make me a bitch then you'd better think again Mauro." You say with as much menace as your sweet girlish voice can effect.

"Hey you got that ass backwards Blondie." Toni protests soothingly. "I know I'm a small compared to you and Julia for instance. There will be others in the pen tougher still, cons that have worked out since they got in and have built up muscle. I killed with pistol or knife, I won't stand a chance against them with these tiny fists."

"What of it, you ain't nothing to me Mauro?" You shrug.

"So if I gotta be a bitch then I'd prefer it to be on my terms." Toni continues. "You ain't seen yourself yet Blondie. You might be a big athletic looking chick, but you are still the best looking in this bus. Next to me of course."

"And?" You wonder where the hell this is leading.

"If I gotta end up as someone's bitch then a hot blonde girlfriend to be my butch would be my choice." Toni gives you a smile. "It would up your cred to the others in the pen too and make them think twice about making moves on you. You keep the other cunts off my back and you get to be the man with me."
