Finally, everyone spills into the room, nobles and ladies in the front, and whatever of my subjects that could fit in the door in the back, with hundreds of disappointed peasants being locked outside. The rabbling in the room is getting louder and louder, but with one wave of my hand, they all fall silent.

Mother speaks to the masses "As you have all likely heard, my husband, your King, Raimund has not long for this mortal coil. We all mourn his coming passing, and the Realm will greatly miss such a wonderful leader. He has named Aerin as his heir, and the Court both agrees with and highly recommends this course of action. My son will make just as well, if not a superior, King to all of you, as I'm sure all will agree. However, this brings us to the matter at hand. Aerin must be wed, at great haste, as a King is just a man without a partner at his side. Those who have been chosen to do so will now speak your council on the matter, but the ultimate decision will be left to Aerin, who will decide who will make a suitable bride in the coming days."

The next few hours are a constant stream of nobles, generals, holy men, family, ambassadors, and other notable persons pleading their cases to me and the Court, attempting to sway my opinion and win my favor. Yazmine offers her daughter Yahanna to me, as previously suspected. She isn't present, but I've heard of her beauty. The Elven Queen Kelfla follows suit, offering up her also not-present daughter, eliciting a gasp from some of the folks present. Guenevere even offers me herself with a wink, getting a nervous laugh from all present, and I'm not entirely sure she was joking. Gifts, alliances, beautiful women, and countless other promises are also all presented to me, most of which are actually quite appealing, some of which fall quite short. Still, with such a decision only recently thrown on my lap, it will likely take some time to decide.
