Take her with you

While you're still concerned for Dana's safety, you are far more worried about what would happen if you left her by herself. Even if she didn't run away, she might get herself into all sorts of trouble. No, you decide, far better to keep with you where you can keep an eye on her.

Decision made, you set off through the trees until you eventually see the spiders waiting by the path. The lead spider approaches you "So, Weed Fiend, tell us your glorious plan. Amaze us with your ingenuity." You desperately throttle the urge to beat the spider to ****. With any luck he'll get himself killed in the upcoming battle.

You take a moment to examine your surroundings. Just as the leader is beginning to make another snide comment, you begin speaking. First, you and your brethren should spin a layer of fine sticky webbing on the path. Make it strong enough to hold any heroes in place, but make sure it's hard to see. We don't want the heroes to be tipped off. Then, rig some webbing in the canopy, so that it can fall over the heroes from above. Make this sticky as well, but make it tougher, so they can't cut it away easily. Once that's done, we'll wait for some heroes to get stuck on the ground web and drop the netting from above. Then, you'll swarm them, poisoning them and wrapping them in even more netting. Meanwhile, I'll suck the mana from the magic users and fire off my darts. Satisfied?

For a minute nobody speaks, then the servile spider from before says "Yes, of course Great One. It shall be done at once." He rushes off to begin setting the trap with his brethren. You turn to look at the leader. He just stares at you with his eight unblinking eyes, saying nothing. Finally, he turns and joins the others. If that one doesn't get himself killed, you might just have to arrange for an "accident" to happen to him.

The spiders quickly finish arranging the trap, and, after spreading your roots out under the path, you settle down to wait. Every once and a while you check on Dana to make sure she's alright. She stirs a little from now and then, but doesn't wake. The sex must've really taken it out of her. Not bad for a being who's never had sex before. You gently stroke her face with one of your tendrils. She looks so peaceful and **** like this. You feel a rush of anger as you remember the lead spider talking about breeding her. Dana belongs to you and you alone. Suddenly, you hear footsteps on the path. You hurriedly wrap Dana up again and prepare for your ambush.
