Chapter 574 by Fiftyfiftyfifty Fiftyfiftyfifty

What do you do?

Step three.

When you arrive back at the manor, everybody is still present, though Nyllia has them leaning over several papers of her drawing lines and formulating a plan of action to raid the Demon King's fortress. It hasn't been too long since you left either. You walk inside, and they all turn to face you. Niki grabs her head and groans, and is the first to speak up.

"All this planning hurts my head," she says. "I'm glad you're back."

Of course it does. "Just do your best. Anyway, I think I found someone to craft the weapon. Unfortunately, RF is apparently not in town anymore. She's living with her family elsewhere. It doesn't sit right with me, but we'll worry about that later. Now we know that we're going to need to do the rest ourselves. Whoever isn't planning the attack, work with me to get messages to everyone we can. It'll be somewhere around a day to three probably for us to get the arrow. The foot of the Pecho Peaks to the east is only a couple days away. The mountain climb is going to be the hardest part. There's definitely a way up, but we have no idea how long it'll take. And the longer we linger, the higher the chance Sa'dis will find us out and start preparing defenses."

Nyllia nods. "Then we should do something as soon as possible. I suggest two weeks. Anyone we know that may help should not be more than a week away from the base of the mountains. That should give ample time to get word to everybody, and for them to prepare and travel to the meeting place. We should also mention not to arrive at the specific destination until an exact date. That way the forming group will not be spotted far in advance."

"I'll talk to anyone I know and trust to get the messages to where they need to be," Snow says. "Thankfully, there are some within the city, like my mistress herself. She'll be eager to help."

Rabbit's Foot is a pretty high level monk. It sucks to not have her here too. But we do have everyone in this household, including the great Lady Tesgella.

"Just anyone you can think of who's able to fight," you say.

Two weeks. That's a long time, but we need it. It isn't like we all have smartphones. Getting word to everybody could take a week in itself, and then they have to actually get there. I'm just going to have to be patient. Be careful. Sa'dis might see us coming, but the less time we give him, the better. It's going to be an awful couple weeks though. I don't think any of us are going to want to do much adventuring. Every moment will be spent preparing.
