Chapter 9 by anonenffan anonenffan

What happens next?

She saw a thief running off with her towel and bag!

[Originally by Teraton]

Mackenzie really did think she had picked a good spot. Close to the center of the beach, almost in line with the lifeguard's chair, but back far enough that she still had enough room and a wonderful view of the ocean. She had a clear view of it from where she was in the water. Of course, she was rather worried to see that her spot no longer had her belongings on it.

Her eyes darting around in panic, it only took Mackenzie a few seconds to find her towel and purse; they were held tight in the hands of a young man, who, glancing around every few seconds, was quickly making his way off the beach.

"Hey, st-" Mackenzie cut herself off as she stepped onto the sand. She wanted to shout after the robber, but her victim was still close by. Shouting "Thief" was likely to get her in just as much trouble as the one stealing from her. And besides that, Mackenzie was already conscious of the heads turning as she passed, her burgled bottoms barely covering her backside. For those reasons and more, she didn't want to draw any more attention to herself.

Speaking of her newly-acquired coverings, Mackenzie wished she could just chase after the thief herself. The problem was that, even just walking, she could feel the strings straining against her sizable hips. After the risk she'd gone through in getting them, she didn't want to risk them by running.

Of course, if she did nothing, she would lose not just the bag, but it's contents, including her cell phone and hotel room key. Glancing between the thief, the woman back in the water, and her own lower half, Mackenzie...

What does Mackenzie do next?
