Amara wraps her arms around your neck as she embraces you warmly from behind. Snow and Alice stands nearby as well. You turn on your chair to face them, and Niki hops up from her seat to give each of them powerful, almost painful hugs. Meanwhile, William stands up from his seat to stand by his feathered ally.

"Hey, everyone," you say.

"Oh I am so happy that you are well," Amara says. "I was worried. You two were so far from home."

"I assume you won," Snow says.

You nod. "We did. Niki's family was saved and Lynx the spymaster was subdued."

"And I got some sweet new equipment!" Niki boasts.

Snow walks over and taps the metal with her nail. "Ooh. Shiny."

You notice William and the other girl are starting to depart. "William! Are you leaving already?"

"Sorry," he replies. "We have things to do as well. Just don't forget what I told you. Not everyone in your party is present in this room, and the world is only going to get more dangerous for you as you continue this quest. Stay safe. Don't worry, Warren. We will meet many more times in the future I'm sure."

You join the others in standing. "All right. Goodbye for now then."

He waves as he exits through the door.

Next you turn to Alice. She's been quiet, though she often is. "How have you been?" you ask.

"Oh." It's almost like you caught her by surprise. "I have been well."

"Why don't you explain what you've been doing in the city? I'm interested to know what brought you away from home."

"Of course. Kashura spoke to us briefly after you left. She spoke to us about the Amulet of Stupendous Strength that of course ended up in the hands of Sa'dis. Though, this is not your fault. If you were to keep it from him, it would have put many people in danger. The important thing is that she said there may be a way to counteract its magic. We left for Tolis to investigate. While Eva went to Redblood Academy, we subdued a street gang that was possibly connected to someone who may know more. We were successful in the subduing, but not yet in gaining information on how to stop Sa'dis. Apologies."

"Don't apologize," you reply. "I'm proud of you. And it looks like nobody was hurt."

"We were hurt a bit," Amara says. "But I made sure we were... feeling much better afterwards." You notice she's starting to blush.

"Of course." I missed them.

Snow speaks up. "Apparently only Sa'dis can use this amulet. Something to do with his lineage. Kashura wasn't very specific with the details, and she left in a huff."

"However, we do have a lead to another group of criminals who may know more," Alice explains.

"Alice has been a great leader," Snow says. "She was shy at first, but she really took control when it mattered."

"Stop," Alice mutters. Her face starts to glow.

"So we did a good job then?" Snow asks. She looks to you pleadingly, like she's waiting for something.

You roll your eyes. Then, you pat both Snow and Alice on the head. "Good job."

Both of them blush and smile.

Amara wraps herself around your right arm and hugs you tight. "As much as I wish this reunion to last forever, I believe that someone should check on Eva, just in case. However, the lead we are following should not be made to wait either. I suggest that you check on her, Mr. Warren. I think she would be happy to see you as well."

"Of course," you say. "You're right. Niki, you go with them to kick some ass. I bet you're itching to use your new equipment anyway. Meanwhile, I'll go to the academy. We met with the Acting Grand Master anyway, so I might have some sway."

Snow places her hands on her hips. "Darn. Just met up again, and we'll have to split already?"

Niki slaps the cat's back, causing her to jump. "Don't worry. We'll be in the same city this time."

Amara chuckles. "You were able to spend that entire time away with Mr. Warren. You must have got your fill."

"Hey! I didn't say I wouldn't miss him."

"So where are the others?" you ask.

"Delphi, Yin, and of course Peony are back home," Alice explains. "I did not think it would be wise to move all of our players to one location."

You pick up the last piece of bacon off your plate and chew it down. "Before we go, can we talk in private?" you ask.
