You've never needed a sleep so badly in your life. Though when you drift off, you feel the culmination of your experience manifest itself as new power within you. Not only have you been through a lot, but that was the toughest fight yet. It pushes you beyond a level-up, straight into the next stage of your growth, though also closer to the level that brings you the most discomfort.

The Demon King Sa'dis is dead. William is out there somewhere, living on an island in the sky. But thankfully, your friends are all with you. When you first game to this world, you felt so alone. Nobody was like you. Nobody liked you. But one by one, you found people who accepted you, because you accepted them.

No matter what happens, you won't forget who you've become.

Night passes by, and when morning comes, it's time to march. You're able to move on your own now, and so is Dajy. The journey feels short, possibly because your exhaustion has surpassed the length of a single day. Despite the joyous occasion, you barely even remember the trip back once you arrive in Avana. Most of the time is spent resting and making idle chitchat, though you also can't help but find yourself lost in thought over and over again. Sa'dis may be gone, but that only reminds you of all the questions you still have unanswered.

Zazra drives the tree back into your courtyard. Each of your allies begin to depart, as they're busy people. It isn't goodbye forever, but after such chaos comes clean up. There's also a new king on the throne, with complicates things further for some.

Bekram heads off into the city to get a drink somewhere and Thomas comes with him. Rinlin returns to Tolis to investigate King Thadius. Nyllia, Bill, Phil, and Zazra say that they won't be leaving Avana quite yet, but will leave you to relax with your party for the time being. Elyndar starts explaining his plans, but you don't listen. Dajy and her succubi return to her home to recuperate. Fang seeks out her people to make sure things have been all right in her absence. Yaera once again says her goodbyes to Amara, though it's far from a sad departure. Rada immediately travels to the Circle's headquarters in the capital. Vivi wanders off and says she has things to do.

Now it's only you and your party.

Peony leans against the side of the gate as your group stands on the street. There's a strange comfort in being back in the city--seeing other people around you instead of deadly monsters. Even Jelly stands nearby. She seems to have recovered from the attack on her before. Thankfully she doesn't have flesh to scorch to blood to bleed. It's been a few days of travel, and everyone has mostly recovered.

"I feel like that happened quickly," you say.

"It actually took quite some time," Amara replies. "I am still tired."

"I feel bad that I blacked out for part of it," Eva says.

Niki stomps her foot. "That damned Sa'dis and his mind magic! I didn't get to see the end. The only thing I remember is seeing you carve him up with your sword, but it's all a blur."

You look down to the handle of your blade. "Yeah... My sword awakened some kind of hidden power. Sucked the energy right out of me after, but it felt so strong. Finally a magic sword that doesn't blow."

Snow suddenly raises an arm over your chest to push you back. "Don't move."

"What?" you ask.

Forward on the street, you see something looking at you. It's small and spherical, and it has tiny metal legs. The body looks copper. A single glowing blue eye stares straight back, but then it glows brighter. The tiny critter vibrates, and then a quick bullet of magic fires out towards you.

Niki raises up her shield to block. "Another enemy already? Colour me excited! Bring it on, you weird little bug."
