Finalize the plan.

It seems that every time you come up with a plan, everything goes off the rails, but you can't let that deter you. There is so much to be done, and so much on the line, that you can't afford not to try. Even if the girls throw the plan aside in the final moments, you still need a lot of things before you even get to the ****. Therefore, everybody tidies up, and you use the dining room table to spread out all the information and items you have in regards to the strategy. It's time to finally create a plan to defeat Demon King Sa'dis.

"Step one." You gesture to the reagents. "I'm going to go out and speak to a weaponsmith I know and hope that she either is skilled enough to take on such a project, or knows people who do. Worst case scenario, I'll grab one of you to help me."

"The venom glands taken from a violet spider," Amara begins. "Both eyes from a wyvern. A frost lotus and a gloom daisy. These can be used to forge an arrow known as Projectile: Eradicator Gold, which is described by the book as a divine weapon able to eliminate the Amulet of Stupendous Strength currently in the possession of the Demon King."

Eva nods. "It was how Demon King Mas'och, his father, was defeated centuries ago. That also explains why only he can use it. The item must be connected to his bloodline."

You put your finger down on the map, up in the mountains where his fortress lies. "Though we don't know what we'll face there, the mysterious man William Cresswell told us what he knew of his numbers. First, there was Mistress Dajy the high succubus who has since defected to our side. Then, the Vampire Queen Catherine, who is now... detained. A strange mage named Kashura was helping her, but her allegiance didn't seem to be to the Demon King at all, and her whereabouts are unknown. Velina Daliru, who masqueraded as Professor Davella, is a powerful enchanter who is also detained. Then there's his spymaster Lynx, who is the reason we have the blueprints to his fortress. She has defected as well."

"And then there is Ithic, the Flame General," Yin speaks up. "He's strong, and has his own army as well."

"We fought him once before." You put your hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Yin. I know you used to be involved in all that chaos, but we wont let them take you back."

She smiles. "Thank you... Master," she says softly.

"Next, there's step two," you say. "I'm going to visit Rabbit's Foot. She was investigating some strange, dark happenings as well, but I also think with her connections, we'll be able to contact others more easily. We might even be able to get some resources funded."

Does everyone here even know her real identify? Whatever. It doesn't matter. I'm handling it anyway.

"Step three," you continue. "I need some of you to write up a plan to **** the base itself. Use the floorplans and do the best that you can with what we know. It'll be a lot easier once we're made aware of who will be able to help us, but do your best. I know I'm asking a lot with very little to work with, but anything is better than nothing. Lady Tesgella is going to lead this part of the operation. Take whoever you want to help you."

Nyllia salutes. "Yes, Sir Warren."

"You might be best with this, Snow, but work together to figure this one out. We need people. Step four, get the word out. Once we know how long it'll take to gather everything together and set up camp near the mountains, write down a date and message, and get it to everyone you think can help. Then when the day comes, we'll see who shows up. When I return from the second step, I should know more as well, so don't go crazy with it straight away. This whole ordeal is going to take some time.

"Then there's step five. We attack. Somebody needs to fire the arrow at the perfect time to destroy the amulet. There's going to be a lot of fighting, and we don't know exactly what to expect especially once we're inside, but it'll be the final moments of the plan. Once we defeat the Demon King, we win. No more threat. We can finally relax and live happily without someone trying to kill us."

A five step plan. It sounds so small when you think about it like that, but I'm basically leading an army to take down a king. It's hard to imagine I could do something like that. With all of these girls looking up to me though, I feel like I need to. Just take it one step at a time.

"Snow?" you speak up after a moment of silence.

Her ears twitch. "What is it?"

"You're the only one here skilled with a bow. We need you to fire the shot."

For the first time, her nerves about combat visibly surface. She's usually so calm, unless the problem is about something lewd. She swallows hard, but then she takes a deep breath and nods. "I won't let you down, Kyle."

"So is everyone in agreement about what's going on?" you ask.

They all nod together.

"Let's do it!" Niki shouts.

"Well, we've been through a lot weirder stuff," Eva says. "We're a party. Let's keep fighting."

"I will always stand by your side," Amara chimes in.

Jelly slowly reaches forward with her gelatinous hand and touches the corner of the floorplans. "Yummy..." she mutters.

"Don't eat that!" you shout.

Niki takes hold of her shoulders and pulls her away with a laugh. "You just ate. It looks like you take after your big sis Niki."

You rub your head. "Oh, uh. One more thing I guess. What level is everyone? I mean, for people who have a class."

Niki is a 6th level warrior. Amara is a 6th level cleric. Eva is a 6th level mage. Snow is a 7th level rogue. Delphi is a 5th level Dark Fairy. Nyllia is a 12th level templar. Yin, Alice, Peony, and Jelly, you're not exactly certain about. It's only really Alice you know is fit for combat, but she's a unique situation. The others you haven't seen fight, and Peony can't exactly leave the area, but that doesn't mean they're unable. There are many others that could show up that are quite strong. The best you can do is hope.

And you're an 8th level... whatever it is that you are. Not the highest in the group, but close to it. You've been set to lead the charge either way. You're the party leader, and it's never been as stressful as it is right now.
