Mackenzie gets company

Mackenzie tried to assess the situation logically.

Okay, all my stuff's been stolen and I'm naked in the gym. she thought, That's pretty shitty. But at least I'm alone.

Mackenzie suddenly heard the sound of a door opening and scrambled to cover herself as best she could. But she soon realized that it was the door to the tanning room, not the smaller door to her individual booth. The beauty sighed in relief at the realization that she hadn't been walked in on in her current nude form.

"So these are the new tanning booths?" a woman's voice drifted in from outside.

"Yeah, aren't they nice?" a different woman responded.

The two voices continued talking as the sounds of doors opening and closing could be heard. And the two woman soon fell silent, followed by the low humming on the tanning beds.

Okay, thought Mackenzie, If they're both in the beds then now's my chance to get by them without being seen. But where should I go?

Mackenzie began evaluating her options. Across the hall from this room was the women's steam room. Sometimes people left extra towels in there, but this time of day there were usually at least a few women inside. Still, it was by far the closest option for the nude redhead, only forcing her to streak the halls for a few brief moments.

If she couldn't find a towel there, Mackenzie could make the trek down the hall to the women's locker room. They always had plenty of towels in there, but it meant a much longer amount of time being naked in the hall, and who knows how many people she might run into!

But assuming she could quickly snag a towel in either of the above locations, she'd at least have enough cover to venture out to the front desk. Sure, it'd be embarrassing wearing nothing but a towel out into the office-like area of the gym, but it was far better than doing it naked! Mackenzie was hoping the front desk had some sort of lost and found. Best case scenario, they'd have her missing belongings, and worst case scenario, they'd have some spare clothes she could borrow in the meantime.

Mackenzie opened the door to her booth as quietly as possible and peeked out into the room. The coast was clear! Steeling herself, she began tiptoeing towards the door to the hallway. But Mackenzie stopped when something caught her eye. One of the booth doors had been left slightly ajar. With the machinery's hum providing a sufficiently loud cover, Mackenzie slowly pushed the door further open. Inside she could see the tanning bed lit up, and next to it was a gym bag!

Suddenly Mackenzie had found a much quicker option than her earlier two ideas. She could simply "borrow" some clothes from the woman currently tanning. Surely she wouldn't mind, right? And she had just started her tanning session, so Mackenzie figured she had plenty of time to come and return them once she found her bag anyway.
