Chapter 9 by Rowenar Rowenar

Does Sara believe her?

Partially

"Ok..." Sara said slowly. "Question one, why are you so frantic about covering up right now then? If we were dating, I imagine I've done more than just look."

"Not- like you are," Ava said. She bit her lip.

"Oh please, if you were naked in front of me I know I wouldn't have been a nun," Sara said.

She had a point, Ava conceded. And Sara alone wasn't too bad; being exposed to the rest of the Waverider's crew on the other hand... But just Sara, just Sara she was used to.

Still her cheeks burned as she lowered her arms to her sides; there was a little of the familiar in Sara's expression, as well as a slightly more shameless edge.

Sara cocked her head, eyes trailing down Ava's front, her tits all the way to her bare pussy. Ava bit her lip to hide a squeal.

"Not so bad, huh? Have missed this," Sara said. "So, want dinner?"

"Wh-what?"

"I'm asking you out. Not hard," Sara said. "You know way more than you should, so I can probably believe that you come from a timeline that we did get together. And, hey, you're a pain but I'm not blind, and if we managed to build bridges where you come from, why not here?"

Ava breathed a sigh of relief. "We could just change things-"

"I said I was pretty sure you were right," Sara said. "Not that I wanted to go rooting around and changing my past. I thought that was the kind of thing you Bureau folks hated?"

"It's- It's already been changed," Ava said.

"Not seriously I'd imagine," Sara said. "Timeline's still secure. Beebo Day's still December 25th-"

"What?!" Ava said.

"Gotcha," Sara winked. "But this doesn't seem like a dangerous change, and I don't want to have my past altered, so what do you say? Let's make things work. Get things to where they were."

Ava hesitated.

She kept remembering her humiliation on the Waverider's bridge in the past and, ok, technically this Sara was responsible for that, but that Sara would still have become her Sara, and she was still Sara, and- urgh, no matter how often she worked with them, multiple timelines gave her a headache.

She was still recognisable. And it might be another way to repair the future; so long as they were together, how much could seriously change?

And maybe it was a bit more of a romantic notion too. She did miss her Sara. Being with her again would be... nice. And by all appearances, remembered hostilities aside this Sara did seem to have matured rather.

Ava opened her mouth to speak, but Sara quickly interrupted.

"Oh!" she said. "Things'll probably be a bit different though. I imagine other-me would have gotten to it sooner or later, but I figure we may as well start off with it. A few ground rules, just to spice things up."

"Wh-what?" Ava said.

"Like, rule one, don't bother wearing anything more than you are when you're on the Waverider," Sara said. She winked. "Nice to look at, and not like everyone's not already seen it. Sure, I'll be nice, you can dress up when you're heading back to the Bureau, and off on a mission, but when you're on board I want to see everything. And rule two, ooh, to be decided, maybe a collar or a nice tattoo, depends where we land."

Ava's cheeks burned. And she'd been so close to saying yes-

She squirmed, hyperaware of the fact she was still naked.

Not that part of her didn't still want to. She probably could work around that, and so long as she actually could connect with Sara again...

Does Ava go along with the rules?
