Stiffening, the two of them turn to look at the front door where the sound had come from. Looking at the still strong connection between them, James lifted his mate and brought them both close to the front door. Each step made it harder to concentrate for Lily as she was repeatedly pounded like earlier, except without the stairs. James grabbed a blanket on the way to the door and wrapped it over his pack-mate who was starting to hold him closer with her legs.
