Chapter 9 by HipsDontLie HipsDontLie

Anything else?

It must look real

"Now, will you be able to maintain the illusion?"

"Well, I think I can lie, maybe we should..."

"No," interrupted Alex once again. "I mean will you be able to act as my loving young wife? Hold my hand in public? Kiss me?"

Mackenzie looked at her, shocked. As Alex was obviously awaiting an answer and the redhead couldn't stand her impatient stare, she ended up replying "I... hu... couldn't we pass on that? I mean... We could say I'm shy and embarrassed in public. Many lesbian don't..."

"Many lesbian don't have to prove they're lesbian. And don't forget we're on our honeymoon, you should be happy and only care about us being together."

This woman defenitely had all the answers.

"Okay, but will you order me around like this all the time? Won't people think we're not such a happy couple?"

Alex stayed silent a few seconds, enough time to have Mackenzie wonder if she wasn't about to slit her troat with her bare teeth.

"I'll try to make an effort." she finally answered. "But it doesn't solve the problem. You have to kiss me, I want to know if you can do it without flinching."

The redhead hesitated.

"Come on!" exclaimed the surgeon. "I can't be that bad looking!"

"That's not the point!" she hastened to answer. "You're actually gorgeous!"

She wasn't lying. Alex was a few inch taller than her, with blue eyes and black hair. She had an athletic body with wide hips and round breasts, although they were a bit smaller than her owns, and her face was beautiful and harmonious, despite her constant surly expression and her square jaws, which actually gave her a faux-air of young Angelina Jolie.

"It's just that I'm still not comfortable with the idea of kissing another girl."

The brunette sighed and suddenly grabbed Mackenzie's cheeks and pressed her lips against hers. The redhead sensed something slip into her mouth to wrap around her tongue like a constrictor snake seizing its prey. It was then pulled into a sensual and intense dance which ended with Alex breaking the kiss and stating "See? It's not the end of the world."

The reporter didn't answer, as her mind was blowing in every direction. It was probably the best one-sided kiss she ever had, and she couldn't help but wonder how good it would have been if mutually shared.

"That said, you still lack practice." declared Alex before catching her lips again. This time, Mackenzie put one hand on her cheek and the other on her shoulder and kissed her back, carried away once again. It was more sincere and impetuous than it should have. She realized the surgeon had let one of her hand slip down her waist, but didn't protest. It was part of the show, wasn't it?

Is that all?
