Head downstairs.

You make your way back into the main room of the inn. Several patrons are eating breakfast. This included Niki, who you spot devouring a plate of bacon and eggs in the corner of the room. Though you notice that she's not sitting alone either. The man sitting with her is familiar to you. He wears glasses, and has a long white coat over a black shirt, matching pants, and his dark hair is cut down to his neck and decorated with a braid down the right side with blue beads. On his side is a scabbard.

William Cresswell. The only other person I've met here who is from Earth. I've been wanting to see this guy again. He could be the key to why I'm here, but he seemed pretty mysterious last time we met. He did tell us a lot of information on Sa'dis though, and it helped.

He gives you a friendly smile as you approach the table. "Hello again, Warren," he says. "It's good to see you."

"What's going on, Niki?" you ask.

"We're just having a nice breakfast." He points to his empty plate. "I had mine before she came. Can I get you something? Excuse me, waitress! My friend here needs to eat his breakfast, and it'll be on me."

You pull up a chair and sit. "All right. Well, I guess I'll have what Niki's having."

A waitress nearby nods. "Coming right up, sir."

William leans on the table and looks you over. "So, my fellow Earthling. It's nostalgic seeing you. Yes I've made new friends here in this world, but to speak with someone from my home world is something special. I've missed you, truly."

"Well, the info you gave us before was really useful," you reply.

Niki nods. "I was just telling him how we kicked Lynx's ass. And Catherine's."

"You're disassembling Sa'dis' army, Warren. You might not realize just how big this is. If he was to lose the Flame General as well, he may have next to nobody left to protect him. He's incredibly powerful on his own, however," William explains.

"So what is your stake in all of this?" you ask. "You seem to want this guy taken down pretty bad."

"He's a Demon King. If he's to grow in power, he could threaten the heart of the Empire. Anyone would want him taken down, and I've taken a liking to this world, believe it or not. I have a party of my own to protect. Either way, I came here for more reasons than a friendly chat over breakfast."

The waitress places down your delicious plate of food. She gives you a smile, and then once again you're left alone with Niki and William. Though, you do immediately dig in. You're pretty hungry... maybe because you keep getting drained by a certain slime.

After swallowing down some bacon, you speak. "What other reasons?"

"Your friends are in the city, and I wanted to help. It was one of my own friends that hopefully contacted you with this information. Though I'm not certain all who's here, I do know one of them went to the academy alone."

"Where are the others?" you ask.

"On their way. As for what they were doing, you'll have to ask them, but I've already sent someone to escort them here this morning."

Niki finishes her meal and licks her fingers clean. "As long as you're not plotting something weird."

"Everyone has some kind of plan, but I truly do want Sa'dis defeated. I'll do what I can to help," William says. "And it would make me incredibly sad to slay the only other boy from Earth possibly in this entire world. Though, the odds of something only happening once are low. Just look at us two. Anyway, they should be arriving soon. Trili is quick, and good at what she does."

The front door opens. Walking inside is a cloaked figure with black feathers protruding from the ends of her robe sleeves. You can make out strands of matching hair hanging down from her hood. Though as she walks, her footfalls make a strange noise. You look down to see that at the bottom of a pair of baggy trousers are bird-like talons clicking against the floorboards.

Behind her are some truly familiar faces, and it makes you happy to see them again--Alice, Amara, and Snow.
