Follow the slime.

"A few of your things made it through," you say. On the ground not far from her feet are a few things. There's a waterskin that's thankfully undamaged, some coins, and there are remaining rations as well. Her last torch is broken in two and the end has dissolved, though thankfully the one in your hand is still going strong. You collect what you can and keep it in your own pack for now.

The two of you continue to follow the slime farther into the cave. It doesn't feel like you're getting any closer to the surface, however. It's the opposite. Though if anyone were to know a way out of here, it would be the creature that calls this place home. It's better than staying here and starving to ****. And without the sun, it's hard to tell how much time has passed. You feel like since you left town until now, it might be passing lunch time by now. That explains the rumble in your stomach.

"You still owe me new weapons," Niki mutters. "You hear that, Jelly? You owe me!"

You raise a finger to your mouth. "Shh. We don't know what else is down here," you say quietly.

"I'd stomp on that girl right now if she wasn't so cute," she mutters.

"And she's our only way out, so play nice."

You withdraw some jerky from your pack and munch it down, and you offer some to Niki as well. Though with one arm covering her bust and her other hand being held down between her legs, she's in no position to reach for food. She flushes more, and grits her teeth.

"Stop looking!" she says.

"I've seen you naked before," you say as you glance away--keeping your eyes forward.

She yoinks the jerky from your hand. "That's not the point. How is that any way to speak to a lady?"

"Since when were you concerned about being lady-like?"

Niki then grabs you by your tunic and begins to yank on it hard. You turn in surprise to see the naked bronzed goddess straddling you with an embarrassed, frustrated expression. "Then how about we strip you down too?!"

"No way! Calm down!"

You almost bump right into the fully-formed, naked slime girl Jelly who has stopped without you realizing. Just like you did before, she places a finger over her lips and says, "Shh. There is a strange man that lives down here."

"Strange man?" Niki asks. She releases you and returns to covering herself up. "What kind of strange man?"

She tilts her head and thinks. "Skinny..."

"That's not much to go on." You sigh. "But yeah. Let's keep our voices down."

Jelly points ahead. "I've seen light."

It's hard to tell what's around you, but not far away, the light of your torch illuminates the corner of what appears to be a metal door built into left of the cavern wall. Light either means someone lives down here, there's sun up piercing through... or there's magma, though that's much worse. You start to wish you had a few pickaxes handy.

"What is that?" Niki asks beneath her breath. She walks up ahead and towards the doorway, giving you a full view of her bare back and rear lit by the warm glow of your torch's flame. She listens in, though doesn't seem to be reacting to anything. That is, until she turns and flushes again. "Are you staring at my ass?!"

"Shh!" You try to shush her again.

Suddenly, the metal door opens inwards. Niki stumbles into the doorway, and something grabs her without any time to react. It's enough to get her inside, and the door slams shut behind her. You hear one loud bang against the metal before silence comes. You spare no time in sprinting up to the door and pushing as hard as you can, but it doesn't budge. That's when you notice a second door a few meters farther down.

"Come on, Jelly!" you call out and run to the next. This one feels much looser--rusted and old.

Gotta act fast. Here we go! A few deep breaths, and one... two... three...
