Bobbie nodded. "Well that's probably for the best. From what you told us on the way here, you and Mara tried to see which one of you could swallow the most piss."

"What?" Emi coughed, her faces suddenly flushing red, and then red again. "That's not right! That's daft!"

"And from what we saw, Mara won!" Bobbie held his bulging belly as he laughed. Emi noticed Johnny looked a little displeased with his brother, but she couldn't tell why. Probably because Bobbie was making sport out of awful night.

Now that they were talking about it, Emi could remember some of it. Her and Mara looking at each other from adjoining urinals, as men... geez what was she thinking? She couldn't even remember feeling disgusted, just a strange sort of competitiveness with Mara... wait. "What was Mara doing there?"

"Being a skanky ho, like usual." Johnny answered.

That sounded like her. Back home she was always such a slut. She furrowed her brow. She actually couldn't think of a single occasion besides last night where Mara was even a little loose, but for some reason her being a slut, felt right. It's like she'd always suspected her best friend was a piss drinking whore, but only just got proof. "Why isn't she here?" Emi looked around the barn for her.

"'Cause she don't live here." Johnny answered. "She got her own people, who can pick her up."

"Oh." Emi nodded. "Right." She supposed that was true enough for Mara, but her mind didn't even pick up what that could mean for herself.

"Now come along." Johnny beckoned her closer. "Let's get you something to eat."

Emi wretched softly. Between the hangover, and the memories for last night there was no way she could eat. "No, thanks. I'd rather you just take me back to the hotel. I'm not hungry."

"Oh don't be silly." Bobbie waved her off, and started to leave the barn. "We made your favorite."
