Chapter 4 by earpsrhot earpsrhot

What does Nia do about her new crimefighting outfit? Does she have any heroics to do, or does she just try to get home?

Being Dreamer on the way back

Nia looked out of the warehouse, adjusting her arms to keep them crossed and keeping her from baring her breasts to the entire city. The street outside was relatively empty but it was just the first one she had to cross on the long journey home.

Getting home had to be her priority. Home meant putting on clothes, and settling her mind enough to try and work out why Kara thought this of all things was a good idea. Nia fidgeted, then took a barefoot step outside.

She had her mask on. That and her panties were all she had in the way of modesty. Nia wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. Her mask did mean she could go to work and her coworkers wouldn't know that they'd seen her like this, but it did also mean the city knew Dreamer was the one going almost naked, and that was almost more embarrassing.

Nia ran as quickly as she could, grimacing, her eyes focusing dead ahead as she got onto busier roads. She refused to meet anyone's eyes, refused to remember a single face of anyone that had seen her running down the street like this. It just felt easier.

"Dreamer! Help!"

And then there was that. Regretting it immediately, Nia turned to see what looked like a shop robbery. Well, just about see it over the shoulders of a handful of people stopped and staring at the superheroine in nothing but unicorn panties. Nia reddened.

Kara had said that, in some weird way, this was meant to be to help her train. Maybe if she showed she'd fight crime even like this, she'd get her costume back. And she didn't want to stand by and do nothing no matter the circumstances.

Blushing, Nia pushed past the watchers to get closer to the shop. A lone man was holding a gun up to the shopkeeper. Swallowing, Nia summoned up a blast of dream energy and shot it at the gunman's hand, lifting both her hands to do so. She blasted again after he'd been unarmed to knock him out, succeeding only after he'd turned and seen her uncovered breasts, small rosy nipples and all.

The same went for the shopkeeper. And the CCTV camera she spotted he had as security. Nia squealed, and turned around to start running again, crossing her arms.

She'd make it back to her apartment soon, she hoped.

"Damn it Ka, er, Supergirl," she muttered under her breath. this wasn't what she'd expected the glamorous world of being a superhero to be like.

Does Nia's situation get better or worse? Does Kara have any more brilliant ideas?
