Legally Nude Socially Complicated

Introduction:

This year, or rather a month or two ago this year one of the most unexpected laws was passed across the United States, one that was ruled mostly in favour of, though with some misgivings. Either way, across the nation public nudity was made one hundred percent legal, with people of all ages been given the right to be naked on any public property, without the worry of a legal entity forcing clothes upon them.

A law that was celebrated among the nudist community, by basically making nudist resorts redundant overnight, with every beach and spa technically being clothing optional now. That being said, there was no sudden rise in nudism, Americans didn't suddenly shed their clothes to create a new nude utopia. The law made noise for a short time then passed rather quietly, with sites like Youtube, Twitch and Tiktok still having content rules that didn't catch up fast enough for any trends to form.

And thus, the world settled back to it's normal pattern, nudity still remaining quietly under the nose of a prude nation, very few around to break societal norms. These stories are about those people of course, the few trailblazers who found out about this law one way or another, using it to either start new lifestyles, to kickstart a fetish, or maybe even just to break the norm. Whatever their motivations are, they are certainly not the norm and society is going to make them know it.

The Law And It's Effects:

Introductions aside it's time to elabourate on the law itself. It's not as straightforward as just being a legalisation of public nudity, there are certain layers to it.

Of course an obvious one is providing certain protections, sexual is still sexual and while society hasn't yet caught up, a naked person could be given MORE legal protection...they could also be given less depending on state attitudes with the age old 'they were asking for it, look how they were dressed' being popular ammunition.

Societal effects are of course expected too, normal people don't expect to see a nude person on their commute, and may react with disgust or even envy. And it's worth remembering the online porn industry still exists, candid pictures of people walking around naked may not be more popular, but they'd certainly be easier to get.

With all this in mind people from all different kinds of lifestyles may try out being naked with the laws eased, they might have difficulties, they might not...but hopefully in the end they have fun, failing that of course they might just get aroused, or someone might. Either way this nudity will form a very body positive wedge in common society whether society likes it or not.
