Jake's stare was transfixed on the Latina woman. It was beginning to get a little awkward, and Abbie was starting to feel annoyed that the vibe was fading.

"Yes," she said quickly. "Yes, he'd like you to keep going." Then, after a beat, and quieter, "I'm Abbie, by the way. This is Jake." She glared at Jake. "He's kind of awkward."

The Latina woman laughed. "It's okay. I mean, for me, anyway. I don't have to go home with him." She laughed again. "This is Simon. And I'm Nicole."

Abbie scowled at Jake, who hadn't stopped staring at Nicole. "What's going on, Jake?" she whispered at him.

"I don't know. I mean, I'm totally into watching you do stuff, but I don't know about watching someone else. Do you want to stay?"

Abbie smiled at Nicole. "Yeah, kind of. I do."

Jake kissed her. "You are an endless adventure."

"I am!" Abbie spoke louder now so Nicole could hear. "He just called me an endless adventure. That's pretty awesome."
