Your getting a Phone Call

While staring into Skyler's puppy dog eyes, you were about to accept his proposal. It was then you heard your phone vibrating in your pocket.

"Let me take this sorry," You say as you pick up your phone and see that its Michael.

You and Micahel go way back; he was like a childhood friend. He was your father's best disciple after you, so you had a lot of time to get to know each other as kids.

Really he was the only one you considered as a friend.

["Hey Val, I heard about what happened to you, and if you need a place to stay, mine is always open to a friend like you."]

Micheal said through the phone.

"That sounds great, I'll take you up on that. I'll be there in half an hour," you say to Micheal. Looking up, you see Skyler's face turn into a frown as he overhears your conversation.

"Sorry, Skyler. It seems like I have a place to stay. Do you need help getting home?"

"No ill be fine," He says with his face frowning in displeasure while taking out a phone and texting something.

"I'll send you some money as thanks later."

You felt terrible, but this was for the best. You have known Michael for years while you only just met Skyler.

Leaving Skyler, you call a Taxi and use the cash you took from the old man to pay for the fair.

As you said, you arrived at Michaels's house half an hour later.

"Hey, Val, you're here. It's so good to see you again," Michel said while opening the door.

"Sorry to intrude, thanks for letting me stay over," You say with a smile.

"So, this is Val Micheal?"

You hear another voice say. Looking at the woman behind Michel, you're surprised at how Michel got such a beauty as his wife.

She had indigo-colored hair that was slightly ruffled and cyan eyes that were closed somewhat. It seems she had woken up.

Her eyes were kind of empty, but you felt as if she was looking down on you, but you refrained from saying anything.

"Yeah, this is Val hell be staying for the night, and Val, my wife, Erika.

"Nice to meet you, Erika. Your husband has always been a trusted friend of mine.

"Yes...likewise," She sais while observing you.

"So, Val, what will you do from tomorrow on?" Micheal sais trying to break up the awkward silence.

"I am going to register for the X Change Tournament using what I have left."

You say while feeling the remaining cash in you had in your pocket. It wasn't enough, but you were betting that the reward money from saving Skyler would be enough.

"Alright, that's good. I know you can win considering how much time Sensei put into teaching you," He said with some frustration, but that goes over your head.

Taking you to the Dining room, he has his wife prepare a quick dish for you, which you accept and eat.

He then takes you to your room. It's simple, but it's better than a park bench for sure. Closing the door, you lay on the bed. Its time to get some shud eye for the tournament in two days. You get comfortable, and you feel your eyes become extremely heavy unable to keep them open. You fall into a deep sleep.

You feel restless. Your tired eyes start to open but are suddenly blinded by intense white light. You're entirely distraught.

'What is going on' You think to yourself as you try to move only to realize you are tied down to a chair. The chair rattles a little as you try to break free from your bindings.

As your eyes adjust to the light, you can finally open them, and then you see a figure.
