You used to be a bandit group, until you tried to rob me

Actually looking around, I took note of a small group heading towards me, and assumingly towards the town in the other direction. Setting the safety switch on, I sighted them amd estimated them to be around nine to eleven hundred meters away. Looks to be garbed in coats, boots, sword sheaths on their hips and back, and surprisingly two of them have revolvers, old ones at that. Best to keep my distance and let them pass. Don't need to attract attention to myself, not yet anyways.

I let the rifle dangle as I paid them no physical mind. Keeping myself busy with getting a more accurate numbers of magazines. 5, 10, 15... 30... 45... and I do think there’s limitless ammo. Each magazine is full of standard 5.56 NATO and 9mm Parabellum rounds.

That's when I bear faint footsteps behind me. Standing up, I left the magazines on the ground. With a turn, I had my hands grab my rifle and faced the group whos now spread out around 10 meters from me. Two of them are walking closer to me, one of them have the revolvers, and the other has a saber sheath on her hip. Quite bottom heavy, the one with the revolvers. The other one is more... balanced? At least in proportions.

I have a closer look to their attire, moderate length coats that goes to their knees, pants for the one with revolvers, while the swordswoman is wearing seemingly nothing underneath, boots, gloves, hoods, and masks. However, the two aren't covering their faces. The bottom heavy is brunette, while the swords women is blonde. They stopped around two meters away from me.

"Sorry to protrude upon you, but do you know if there are any adventurer guide nearby?" The blonde asks, her right hand resting on her saber's pommel. The brunette stands besides her, hands ready to grab a revovler on a moments notice.

"That would depends. I give you information, and you give me some sort of compensation." I answer, and offered. The blonde took a moment to glance over to the brunette, before looking back at me.

Nodding, she replied. "Very well. Your terms is acceptable. However, you must come with us to assure that your answers isn’t just tales."

"Alright, spare me a moment to collect these before I tell you." I told her, letting my rifle dangle as I kneeled down to pick up the magazines and putting them in my pack. Most of them seemingly disappear as I let go of them.

The moment I got the last one, I heard one of them cleared their throat. Standing up after zipping my pack close, I turn to face them. "What is the reason for you to pick those rocks?"

"They are... specific rocks types that is important for my research." I quickly thought up a lie. Both of them bought it, it seems. "Now, what was your questions?" I asked, picking up my rifle from my side.

"I was wondering if you knew of any adventurers guides nearby. My group have been traversing the plains of Wallers for days now." The blonde told me, gesturing towards her small group. Three more swordswomen, and another revolver carrier.

"Don't take it the wrong way, but why is your group consisting of only women?" I ask her, only to take a step back as she drew her saber and yelled at me.

"What? Do you have a problem with womem being adventurers?!" She angrily stomped up to me and pointed a finger at me, saber thankfully pointed away from me. If anything, I think its an act scaring me. I would laugh, but now not the time.

"My apologies. I have no issues with such beauties being adventurers, only the fact that they often don't have the proper experience and guidance that they could use and learn." I told her, stepping up to her and cover the hand holding the saber, allowing me some time to distant myself should she attack.

"We don't need guidance! We have robbed many other people who couldn't fight back! You are no differ-" I cut her off by headbutting. I heard enough, the clothing, the attitude, and the reveal. They're bandits. I heard the clear sound of a revolver's hammer being pulled back, before I felt something impact me from the front. I was shot at. With movements that was drilled into me, I drew my rifle and fired back at the revolver carrier.

There's several sounds happening around me. Swords being drawn, and hammers being pulled back. Another impact, and my head jerked back a bit before I switched targets. The other revolver carrier was shot down, along with a swords women. With a twist of my body, I struck a swords women with the stock of my rifle, while dodging a thrust.

Hearing a click from my rifle, I let it dangle before drawing my own sword and pistol. Blocking a overhead strike, I fired a few rounds into a swords women before kicking her away. Another was yelling while running at me, preparing to swing her sword diagonally at me. A few shots to the chest stopped her charge, resulting in a slowing run. She didn't even managed to check the damage before falling face first.

I hear a whimper before I heard a shaky voice. "Who are you?" It's the blonde swordswomen, holding up the first revolver women. She's bleeding, heavily. Two shots, sternum and left breast, presumably left lung as well. No chance of saving her. The rest suffers the same fate, the road slowly moves downhill, the blood soaking up dirt particles and carrying it along.

"Someone you shouldn't attempt to rob." I told her, inspecting the saber for any damages to it. Still in perfect condition, only some dirt and specs of blood. Using a sleeve, I cleaned it before sheathing it. I started heading towards her, unloading the pistol magazine to check the amount of bullets still in side. There’s only two left.

"St-stay away!" She yelled, drawing a revolver and atrempting to shoot me. The hammer isn’t pulled back. I took a step towards her, she pulled the trigger again, nothing. Another step, frantically trying to pull back the hammer. Another, she finally got it to pull back, only for me to knock it to the side before it went off, flying from her shaky hands.

"Cease." I ordered her, using a hand to yank the revolver out of her hand. She stares at me in fear and terror, before she scrambled to her feet and run towards a sword on the ground. She didn't make it far before a bullet found its way into her leg. She cried out and tumbled, just a meter short from a sword.
