With the demons temporarily confused by the smoke, Freya sheathed the daggers into their prospective holsters before sprinting toward the door. She carefully moved around the hulking Incubus as he stood inches from her escape, another moment or two and Freya was sure they would have converted her into another demonic counterpart.

Once through the door, Freya rapidly descended the worn stone steps, two at a time as she hurriedly made for the floor below. Unaware of what was awaiting her in the former holy building, Freya wrapped one hand around the door handle whilst clasping at the hilt of a dagger with the other. The heavy wooden door creaked ominously as she stepped out of the stairwell.

A streak of light, momentarily reflected off of the ornate hilt of the dagger as Freya closed the door behind her. Before she moved a heavy bench against it to temporarily stop the encroaching demons from above. Freya noted the eerie silence that hung in the still air, for now, all seemed quiet and for that she was thankful.

Turning around she began to move toward the door, Freya knew that it was down to her alone to inform the order of the team's loss and transformation of her comrades into foul demonic beasts. Heading toward the exit, Freya was stopped momentarily by the echoing chorus of amorous groans from below that were swiftly silenced by a terrified high-pitched scream.
