Chapter 9 by Rowenar Rowenar

What does Nora do?

Visit Wells

Ok. She'd have to get out of bed sooner or later, it was the middle of the morning. She just didn't want to lose the modesty the sheets provided, and she had the distinct feeling that going around wrapped in them would be tantamount to getting dressed; whatever had sparked that taboo on this world, she didn't want to again be viewed as a criminal.

Nervously she got to her feet, giving a hasty look around the room. Alone, good.

With all the options she had, the best had to be Wells. Not only would he be in the lab and as such absolutely not involve going outside, there was a chance he was either in contact with other universes, or was smart enough to get in contact with them.

That had to be something, right?

She hurried to the doorway, then stood to the side of it, only craning her head around the frame to make sure the hall was empty. Then, arms still trying to cover up her front, she ran on tiptoes down to the closest junction.

Each turning she reached she pressed herself to the wall, making sure no one else was walking around. Once she was sure no one would see her like this, she moved as quickly and as quietly as she could.

Wells was normally... If she was to guess where a scientist would hang out, it'd be down here, and... She'd gone around STAR Labs a fair bit, getting to know all the intricacies. If she wanted to work, she knew where she'd go.

She reached the doorway and, after a quick glance around to make sure the hall was staying empty, stuck her head into the room. A face she'd seen plenty of times in photos was there, sketching out horrendous-looking equations on a clear board.

At the sound of her frantic panting, he turned.

"Nora West-Allen I presume," he said, looking up from his chair. "I heard you'd arrived. Come in, please."

She squealed. Well, was there any way to enter into a conversation when she was staying out of the room?

At least it was less exposed than the hallway, not that that was much comfort when she was still going to be naked in front of someone. Nora fidgeted for a moment, then swallowed and ducked inside. She still kept an arm over her tits, a hand over her pussy, as though that would do anything to diminish the humiliating burning in her cheeks.

Wells's eyes flicked over her for a moment.

"Encountering Barry's daughter was not something I... anticipated," he said.

"Y-yeah, well, ending up naked on another world wasn't on my plans either," Nora said.

"Indeed," Wells said. "Is there any particular reason you came to me first?"

"Mom- uh, Iris said you wanted to talk," Nora said. "And I was hoping you could, uh, help me too. Where I come from, our Wells is in contact with his doppelgangers, I was hoping you were too, or..."

Her voice trailed off. Wells was still sat down, shifting his chair to better face her. Wait, wheelchair-

"I'm afraid I can't help you," Wells said. "I hope you're still willing to help me. It's... not unrelated, especially as you're a speedster. I'm working on a problem that multiversal travellers like yourself might already have some experience with."

Nora opened her mouth to speak, then closed her eyes. For a brief, blissful moment she almost forgot her nudity as she looked at the board, the numbers Wells had already written down.

Not that the feeling that replaced the embarassment was much better. And then the feel of the air of her skin reminded her that, yep, she was still wearing nothing but a lanyard and shoes and...

She turned her attention back to Wells. He turned his chair, regarding her, expression perfectly amicable. She swallowed.

"You're not Harrison Wells, are you?" Nora said.

'Wells' paused for only a moment. Then he chuckled, a low, genuine amusement in his voice. Smoothly his expression shifted, one hand moving to support his chin.

"What gave it away?" Thawne said. Even his voice sounded different, darker.

"The way you talked," Nora said. She hated how high her voice still was. "And the wheelchair, the real Wells never- well, on my Earth. And that equation, I don't know it all but I know the speed **** equation, that's in there. That's..."

She squeaked again. Damn it.

She'd been a speedster superhero and she was her father's daughter, of course she knew about the Reverse-Flash. She'd even imagined facing him sometimes, fantasies of proving herself a hero.

In none of them had she been stark naked and trying to stop her dad's nemesis from seeing her tits.

He made no move, apparently content being amused by her even more **** attempts to conceal her body.

And he was chuckling again.

"What- what is it?" Nora said. She tried to at least sound vaguely sure of herself, rather than furiously embarrassed.

Of all the times...

"Oh dear," Thawne said. "'On my Earth.' I thought you'd noticed by now."

"What are you talking about?" Nora squeaked.

"Barry, Caitlin, myself in this guise... And you, I remember seeing you years from now. Was it Excess or XS? I was never sure, but it was some inane title like that," Thawne said. "This is your Earth. I don't know how you maintained your memories. If I were to guess, when you thought you were crossing universes you instead moved a little in time. Not much, but enough that you avoided the ripples sent out when I changed things."

What? Nora's eyes widened.

"You- you're the reason all the women are..." Nora squealed. Damn it, couldn't she have a dramatic confrontation like she'd imagined, rather than being constantly reminded of the fact that it was just her hand that stopped him seeing her pussy? "Why would you..."

"It came to me after that business on Earth-X," Thawne said. "Rather than working on some out of the way Earth where no sane traveller would go, why not create a world like this? You would be amazed the number of visitors this universe had once the rest of the universe heard what the women wore. It wasn't hard either, a few words, a cord to change my appearance, at the formative moments of various societies... It didn't take much convincing, and by now no one questions it. My only concern was making sure Cisco was out of the city during the accelerator explosion, so I didn't have to concern myself with his ability to remember other timelines."

He paused. He looked at a spot on the wall behind Nora, almost haunted.

"Tell me, does your knowledge of the speed **** extend to time wraiths?" he said.

"Y-yeah," Nora said.

"Well there's something worse," he said. "Something that, if I want to have any hope of survival, I need to learn how to deal with. I can... confuse it by hiding in such a large temporal anomaly, and in the mean time I can have Barry bring me breachers, talk to people with knowledge of the universe large enough that they can visit other worlds, and add their knowledge to my own to find a solution."

And-

She'd seen him in the Flash Museum. Well, heard of him at least. She knew where this ended, and on top of that she knew that he wouldn't dare use his powers while the... she'd always heard it called the Black Flash, was after him. It could sense when he did.

So he wouldn't hurt her, especially not with Barry, and she couldn't do anything to him (she doubted anyone would believe her, as Thawne evidently knew). He had to survive to die facing the Legends, and-

"Oh god. The meaning of his words hit her.

"This is my Earth?!" she squeaked. "I can't just go to another universe to get back, this is- you changed time?"

"Precisely," Thawne said.

"What am I meant to do?" she squeaked, hands clutching at her naked body just a little more desperately.

Oh god, she couldn't just go back to the moment she'd left and get dressed. And there was no way to restore a timeline, especially not if she didn't want the Black Flash chasing her down too.

"Not my concern," Thawne said. "I would welcome the view of another speedster, especially one who knows my name. The deception can get... tiresome. Otheriwse, I would suggest you get used to being naked."

Nora squeaked.
