To the bathroom

Reluctantly joining your mother in the bathroom, you spend the next two hours having make up applied to your face, and then removed, and then applied again. You **** yourself to pay attention to your mother's instructions but you find yourself bored and ultimately uninterested in the prospect of beautifying yourself.

Once finished with makeup, you and your mother move on to hair care and styling. As much as you are hating this, your mother dotes on you and pampers you and you have to admit that it feels good.

Once Jane is finished with your hair, she turns you back around to take a look at yourself in the mirror. Although you won't dare admit it to your mother, you realize that you do look stunning.

Yesterday you were probably a 6 out of 10 in the looks department. Certainly nothing to be ashamed of. But you realized now that you were certainly more than a 6. You weren't sure how to feel about that yet.

"Look at my beautiful daughter!" your mother coos as she watches you study yourself in the mirror. She takes a moment to stroke your long curly hair before placing both hands on your shoulders and beginning to rub gently.

"Come on, mom. I'm still Nick," you say, embarrassed by her compliment.

"Actually that reminds me sweetie, I think we should start calling you Natalie around the house, so you can get used to it"

You try to frown at this suggestion, but your mother's strong hands on your shoulders have you in a bit of a trance. It takes a few moments before you return to your senses, and manage to pull free from her grasp.

"Alright whatever mom. I guess I don't have much of a choice about it. Can we do something else please?"

"Yes we can do something else, Natasha" she says. Being called a girls name, your cousin's name to be specific, causes you to wince a bit, but you say nothing and leave the bathroom.
