Chapter 22

How do the other nations react?
They are angry, but impotent
You'd honestly be a little disappointed if there wasn't an uproar about the whole affair. After all, for the first time in history, an Elf was claiming Kingship of a Human nation and seizing absolute power. Few held great opinions of Ferelden, the more civilised nations sneering upon it as a backwater than consistently smelt like wet dog.
Yet almost all the government and elites of the Human nations on Thedas - drunk on the anti-Elf doctrine preached by the Chantry - universally hated the thought of Elves gaining any form of power or rising above their station. You knew for a fact that Orlais controlled the Chantry, and through them controlled the political climate of Thedas and used it to their advantage.
Yet this was not a time when the Chantry could declare an Exalted March; the Mages and Templars permanently seceded from their control, and the Empire of Orlais was itself beset by constant, brutal war by the Venatori, who were handing their asses to them for lack of better words.
Both the Chantry and Orlais were literally toothless, and with the Imperial Army stretched thin, they could not muster any troops to depose the usurper (that being you) and end the Inquisition for this blatant treachery.
Pah, as if you'd kowtow to them when you finally had power in your hands.
Antiva was divided between different warlords, and you last heard that Venatori agents were stirring trouble there as well, and that the Qunari were beginning to send fleets to Thedas's waters, bringing the Armada on high alert.
Tevinter was a definitive no, the Free Marches were too busy fighting and squabbling with each other, the Anderfels was full of weaklings who can't be bothered to send help, and the Grey Wardens themselves were in an extremely difficult position with the sudden disappearance of the Orlesian branch.
Leaving you as your sole ally.
"What a strange string of coincidences," You mused, "Is it fate conspiring to spit in the face of the status quo, or is it the world wanting a real leader for a change? Maybe it's both, maybe it's neither, I don't know. But I won't look a gift horse in the face."
"You say that every time," Said Anora, "So, I take it you'll be consolidating your gains for now?"
"Well, too much of the country's in a really bad mess," You stated, "Not only do I have to reappoint civil administrators and overhaul the legal code, but also implement much-needed military reforms to get ourselves into a better position. There's simply no way I can send troops to deal with the Venatori elsewhere with my own backyard being so ****. It'll easily take months to set things in order."
"And who will you be appointing to those positions?" Asked Anora, "Surely you're not simply thinking of staffing them with Elves just because?"
"No, that would be extremely detrimental and stupid," You said, "Talented people must fill those positions - talents who are loyal to me. Thankfully for that, I've had months to train and select talented people for such a purpose."
"Trust you to work fast," Said Anora.
"I aim to please," You said, "Now then, let's get our marriage underway, shall we?
"Leliana, are you sure about this? I mean, Alaras is your love."
Josephine asked her friend in concern, having heard of the Inquisitor's plans.
Leliana sighed, having tucked in her Elven children to sleep earlier as they walked down the corridor.
"I won't lie, I was hoping he'd be only married to me," Said Leliana, "I always wanted him to myself, ever since we were **** to spend time apart due to our duties. He had to lead the Fereldener Grey Wardens, I had to become Divine Victoria's Left Hand. Ten years is a long time, and I feared I'd never see him again."
Leliana chuckled mirthlessly.
"How ironic that the moment we come together again is when we have to save the world again," She said, "And this time, he has his own ambitions to follow, and him marrying Queen Anora's just one step."
"I know, but... it just seems so unfair sometimes," Asked Josephine.
"Don't worry, Josephine," Said Leliana, "I'll always be his first love in his heart, and he'll make time for me as he will for any other woman."
Josephine chuckled slightly.
"Well, he is a rather carnivorous womanizer," She said.
And they both laughed together.
How does Ferelden's integration go?
Dragon Age: The Blowjob Throne
The Herald of Andraste... that no one asked for.
Fuck the faces of the women from Dragon Age and rule Skyhold... all from a seated position. A rough blowjob story starring a very lazy and perverted Herald.
