Chapter 8 by takacube takacube

How did Annabeth turn out?

The young college-age son

Annabeth looked at her brother standing in the entranceway and smiled. "See? What did I tell you, tits and ass!"

Harold rolled his eyes a bit before he walked into the bedroom and stood next to her, looking at the mirror. "You're the one to talk, look at this! What a waste it was to be...well...you!"

Annabeth nodded and looked at her reflection in the mirror and turned her head one way and then the other. "No kidding...it's strange, I see myself in this...but then again, I can't see myself here at all either. I just can't believe that this is me...this really is me!" She flexed her muscles a little and laughed at the sight in front of her. "Never thought I'd be all about that but now that I have it, I can see why..."

Harold stood next to his now taller and younger sister and the two of them looked at their reflections. There was definitely a family resemblance, which was nice since they had agreed to select the option that made them related to each other. "I'm sorry that you're still got some of the family blood in you," he sighed.

She shrugged her shoulders but gave him a warm hug. "Well, if I had to keep that blood, I'm glad that it's yours and not hers, not really."

"Even if that makes me your mom?"

Annabeth laughed at that and nodded. "I practically thought of you as my dad growing up, switching things so that you're my mom now is not that bad." Annabeth looked at her reflection still. "Do I now have a dad here?"

Harold reached into the packet and looked at the information card. "Yeah, though he's on a trip for a few days. We're to meet him at the house." He sighed and slipped out the rings inside and handed it to his sister. "Here, I might as well let you practice sliding these onto a girl's fingers. My son's going to break hearts!"

The two of them laughed again but Annabeth took them and slid on the engagement ring first, followed by the wedding band. "Did you choose a name yet?"

"I thought about it and since I look a lot like my grandmother, figured I would use part of her name. Judith Marie Bishop. A bit of a mouthful..." Harold looked at the rings on his hands before he looked at his sister. "Did you figure out yours?"

Annabeth shook her head. "Figured that's something my MOM should do."

Harold slapped her playfully and then nodded. "Well, since my SON insisted, why not go with Ryan? Ryan Taylor Bishop, you liked that name."

With that, he took a picture of his sister's changed face and uploaded it to XChange before he handed the packet over to him (couldn't think of the young man in front of him as his sister or as "she" anymore.) "Let's get ready to go home, shall we?"
