Take an X-change

To prove it, Kevin would have to catch Colt redhanded. After racking his brains for ideas, he settled on taking an X-change. He would take one on a night Colt wouldn't be with Ashley, change, go to where ever he was and hope he flirted with her. He could use his phone to record the interaction and show it to Ashley. She would have to believe that.

On a Tuesday night, he saw his chance. His phone buzzed and he looked down checking it. He had a text from Ashley: "Colt's out tonight with his buddies. Want to hang out?"

It killed him to say no, but he turned it down, saying he had to work. He usually loved his time alone with Ashley, but was able to convince himself that this would just result in getting more of it later. He slipped the X-change and waited for the change.

Having heard that it was better to go through the change asleep, Kevin laid down to take nap. After an hour or so, he woke up. He rose gingerly, and turned to the mirror.
