Start with the family that owned the motel

The whole room went quiet as Reynald outlined his take on the plan. A unanimous vote was taken and the 'cult leaders' agreed to recruit their first few members. They split off to do what they needed to prepare for the coming task, overly excited over the future of their little project.

Shaw stepped out into the midnight air to peer at the motel owner's house. He did not spot them, but he knew they were there. He sneakily made his way over and investigated their query from the outside. It was a normal looking double storey building. The lights were out and a tiny fence did little to keep him out of the yard. He spotted various Christian paraphernalia all about, determining the family's potential religious beliefs. Then he took note of their meager possessions to get a feel of their finances. Once he was sure he had everything, he made his way back.

Joshua and Reynald prepared the gear they need for the next day, including getting their story right. They would pay the man of the family a visit, and 'convince' him that they had come here on a mission of salvation. They would then proclaim that the motel was unsafe and required cleansing for the next few days, but it would require his family to be present and participating. That very night, they would gather at the motel in one of their rooms, not mattering which one it was, and conduct their sham while the man was elsewhere at the 'secondary site' to maintain the 'ritual'. They agreed that they would take turns in twos this time around when the party starts, ending their meeting with a mock cult sign they had invented.

Daniel was at the other side of the room, preparing what they needed for this to actually work. In his hand was the symbol of their cult, the sign of a four pointed star with a crescent piercing through it. He made sure that it was working as intended with the actual powers they all had, all explained through the years of research they spent on practicing their art.
