Something Magical

While going all in strenght and fighting would be very fun, what he really wants is to play around that magic system, so a race that would help with that would be best choice, he can always create another character later, ¿Right?

"let's keep only those that give mental stats... and leave out the common races too" he said outloud, he realized that it seemed to answer to voice commands... except he wasn't really talking, ¿so maybe only thinking about it was necessary? something to test out later, he looked into the much smaller list of races, starting with

Gnome, these small folk are creative and inventive, while their shy nature tends to make them quite rare in cities and towns, usually known for their magic, or their inventions. Receive 4 attribute points, along with +1 Rationality, +1 Insight, +1 Willpower and +1 Perception

"not bad, pretty basic Magical race... but no, im already short, and being a gnome? that's just... yeah no i don't want to be at crotch level with people" he denied, moving it to the side, another choice would be better

Avian, these dexterous creatures fly through the skies, they usually live in very hard to reach places high mountains and floating islands in small communities. Receive 4 attribute points, along with +1 Dexterity, +1 Endurance and +2 Perception

"¿being a bird? wings seem cool, but it would hinder my use of armor a lot, it would leave me very exposed" he sighs, it seemed cool but it would have a lot of drawbacks for a mage, maybe for a different character, he kept looking, ¿why settle when there are so many choices? and time, he had so much time to find that perfect one

After what seemed like hours but actually was like 30 something minutes, he finally made a choice, there were many fantastical things, monstrous races, bestial ones too, but nothing really made him consider it, until he saw them

Serpentine, these creatures are among the more humanoid beast-folk, deceptive, conniving, ambitious, those are the common words used to describe them, they don't usually live in big groups as they distrust their own, . Receive 4 attribute points, along with +1 Rationality, +1 Perception and +2 Guile

"This is it! The one! Snake people! great magical stats, and they look cool, though i guess being known as a liar is a big downside... eh, could be worse" soon after that the mirror entered a foglike state, showing what looked like a human, but in a closer inspection he could see the more bestial traits, the hands and feet were covered in grey scales, the corners surrounding the eyes too, in that topic, he cannot close his eyes, creepy

"not bad, could be better though, i need to make a few small changes" Said william, suddenly another menu appeared, and he could do nothing else but sigh, the attention to detail was appreciated but he hoped they would reduce the amount of sliders on screen when the full game came out, it was.... overwhelming, the first choice, sex

The Menu flied by, landing on that very important choice, it defaulted to male, but it was never wrong to check it out

"huh" he was tempted to choose Hermaprodithe that extra stat point would be cool, but decided to stick with male, it was comfortable for him, though those extra points were almost worth that small discomfort "at least they are respectful about it, i hope" it seems this game is more sexual than anticipated "they really are making use of that R rating, can't blame them though" William shaked his head a bit in dissapointment, more in himself rather than the game makers, and then continued with the customization

"neat" he said, looking at his tongue, Forked just like a snake, it was pretty long by default, which reminded him of something very important, he looked down "WHAT THE-" (fun fact, for every snake in the world, there exists one snake dick, which makes sense right, one to one? but only half of snakes are male so how can this be true? well, male snakes have two dicks, or more scientifically correct, they have a Hemipenis, which means that it's splits in two at the base) he looked to the side, there was a toggle for it, and a slider, for how snake looking he wanted them "they really thought of everything... what a bunch of perverts" ¿does he really want two? sure the novelty might be nice, and it might be a welcome surprise for people, but he really only knows how to wrangle one of the things! he checked his balls, those were still one pair, and he was kind of relieved about that

"well, i AM a beta tester, so i should probably try to use the extra appendage... for research purposes, yeah" curiosity won over shame in the end, he left the slider more on the humanoid side since he was not that much of a pervert, it left both lower appendages with a mix of scales and flesh, now the size, he put it at maximum and let out a laugh "Now! that looks like it would kill everyone involved, it looks like four legs come on!... yeah im not trying that" he said, lowering the size, he had to think, he will carry two of these, at least the sliders were individual... he wanted to wear pants though, and unless there was a dimension for them, he doubted it would be comfortable to make them too big, nor presentable, but ego did not let him make them small, though that would be the optimal option in a sense, he settled for 9 inches long on each, or 21 cm rough estimate, made the balls a bit bigger too, after all, two dicks, not that he was really planning to use them, but if they were small, he was gonna be bummed out

William realized that he spent a lot more time on these parts than the rest of the character! he already had a mental image of what he wanted it to look like but still, shameful

After like an hour or so, he was happy with the final look "could not be better" he said looking at the Serpentine on the mirror, it was a completely different look to the real him which was the whole point of taking that much time

First of all, he was tan, one of the multiple skin colors that he could choose, making a pale wizard was nothing new, so for a change he made one that probably read under the sun, instead of in a library, which was a fun bit of characterization, and kind of made sense, since snakes are cold blooded.

Second, he was taller, not that much taller but definitely noticeable, 1,75 compared to the 1.68 he is on real life, still short but a mage does not need height, that just makes them a bigger target, and he was already playing it dangerously with his choice of stats and the build he had in mind, he was still thin, or lean would be the right word, of course putting a lot of muscle on what was supposed to be a mage would be a bit funny looking, so he decided against that, but he also didn't like the idea of being scrawny, so a swimmers build was the appropiate choice

Third, scales and hair, an opaque blue color was what he decided on, well, decided was an overstatement, not that there were many choices on that front, unlike the hair which had many choices, the scales were a mostly normal color for the respective animal it was based on, his hair was a silverish white, long enough to cover the whole neck ¿Why? Maybe as a way to show the effects that the pursuance of magical knowledge has on the body, honestly he just thinks it looks cool

Fourth and last, the extra details, since magic is just an extention of the body, he added one tatto on his back, a spiral inside of a circle, no mechanical purpose but maybe with enough practice he can cast from that spot or something like that

"yeah, this is a mage! or an apprentice more like" he said, being honest with himself, he was pretty pleased with his looks, even if they were not really all that "pretty good on the details too, no wonder this thing took a whole two days to download, they had to get every possible size huh?" he said with a laugh, even if only he could find it funny, after a while of making the final touches, he nods "yeah im done, i will be here all week if i don't stop now, ¿What's next?"
