She tells the truth

There really was no good option here, was there? Kate glanced around nervous, then moved to shut the door behind Mary, just in case anyone else got home.

"Um, excuse me?" Mary said.

Kate's cheeks were still slightly flushed when she turned back around. Quickly, she moved to sit. Being naked in front of Mary was still a bit embarrassing, being able to cover as much as she could would be better.

"This doesn't leave this room, okay?" Kate said.

"What?" Mary said.

"Mary, promise me," Kate said. "This stays secret."

Mary stared at her.

"Sure, sure!" Mary said. "What's the big deal?"

"I'm Batwoman."

Mary blinked.

There were a few seconds of silence. Kate shifted uncomfortably.

"Mary?" Kate said.

"No, er, yeah, that... that checks out," Mary said faintly. "So. Anyway. Naked. Why?"

"Some security thing Br- er, Batman had on his suits, so no one else could wear them," Kate said. "It left me... stuck like this, until it wears off."

Mary blinked again. She was staring. Kate coughed, adjusting her arms again, blushing under her adoptive sister's gaze.

"O...kay," Mary said slowly.

"You can't tell anyone," Kate said. "But I wouldn't mind a bit of help, keep from things getting too bad. There has to be some way I can wait this out."

Mary paused.

"I'll keep it secret," Mary said.

"Good," Kate breathed a sigh of relief.

"For a price," Mary said.

Kate paused. Mary looked at her, a scheming glint in her eye.

"Mary!" Kate said.

"Do you know how many clicks I got after everyone heard my stream had a streaker?" Mary said. "Do it a couple more times, keep people pouring in, that's all I want. I need the clicks!"

"I need help for people to not see me, not to livestream it!" Kate said.

"Okay," Mary said. "I'll try hard to not let anything accidentally slip out then."

She met Kate's eyes challengingly, and Kate stared back disbelieving.

Somehow she had the feeling Bruce had never had to deal with this kind of trouble.
