She edits "A lot of people disapporve of mixed race romances."

"Oh god, I'm so sick of my parents trying to set me up with Chinese guys," said Anna with a cute frown. She quickly changed "A lot of people disapprove" to "Nobody disapproves".

Anna put down the phone and sighed. "Yeeeaaah, if only. Every guy I like is..." She stopped when she noticed that her phone had a picture of her and Nate holding each other.

"What the hell?" said Anna, grabbing the picture. She and Nate were friends, they'd been working together since she'd joined the IT department a year ago after finishing college, but she'd never taken a photo like this with him.

Could it be photoshop? She looked closely. The photo showed her looking at him like they were an adorable couple, but she'd never had a picture like that with anyone. This wasn't just merging two photos together.

Something told her to double check everything, so she got on Facebook. It was like staring at an alternate reality. Her status showed her in a relationship. There were tons of pictures of her and Nate as a couple, all posted by her, and many of them with adoring comments about them being a cute couple by her Mom.

Anna picked up her phone, quickly working out that the change she'd made to the app had changed the world, changing her own history.

"Hey babe," said a voice behind her.

Anna turned around and looked at Nate. He was a little chubby, but he had always seemed nice. Could he really be her boyfriend now? Was she supposed to fall in love with him?

"You ready to go home?" asked Nate.

"Um, yeah. Let me get my stuff."

Anna followed him out, trying to figure out what to do while they got in the car and drove to their apartment. By the time they got to the small apartment they apparently shared, she had serious doubts. Obviously, in a world where her mom didn't disapprove of dating white guys, she'd started going out with Nate. However, she wasn't sure she was very attracted to him. Did she really want to try and make this work? Did she need to experiment with the app some more, or maybe even change things back?
