"Anya," asked Willow. "what brings you here?"

"I've been here quite a while," said Anya. "All thanks to those Damn Bringers, unfortunately. Fortunately, Xander showed up a short time ago. I never realized how much I missed him until -- Hey, what's up with the new wardrobe? And how come you don't shave down there? And why have you let yourself go? You were never the prettiest girl I knew but you used to be more put together than this."

"Anya," said Xander, "we talked about this. It's not a good idea to disrespect our friends. Anyway, it's not Willow's fault that she lost her clothes."

"Thank you, Xander," said Willow. "I think."

"Then how did you lose your clothes?" asked Anya.

"I don't know," said Willow. "Why are you two fully dressed?"

"Good planning, I guess," said Anya. "Though I notice that each top I wear develops the same slash mark in the same location. Damn Bringers! They're worse than bunnies -- and I used to think that nothing could be worse than bunnies."

"So where's Tara?" asked Willow. "Or Joyce? Or Miss Calendar? I fully expected them to be here too."

"Who knows?" asked Anya. "I haven't seen neither hide nor hair of them since I crossed over -- and that's been quite a few years now."

"Since you're the last one to cross over, Will, I have to ask,"said Xander, "how Buffy's doing?"

"Oh, it figures you'd bring her up," said Anya. "The one girl in all the world that you like more than me."

"Hey!" cried Willow.

"Well, I'll admit he likes you too -- but he likes me best,"said Anya. "Except when he's around Buffy. What is it about that girl?"

"Well, my like for Buffy is quite different than my like for you, Anya," said Xander. "Buffy and I have always been friends ever since her first day at Sunnydale High but you're the one I want to come home to."

"Only because she wouldn't have you," said Anya. "I'm sick of hearing about Buffy. It's almost as bad as hearing about that other girl you used to date in high school."

"Me?" asked Willow in spite of herself.

Anya looked at Willow and asked, "You? Why do you think it's you I'm talking about? I'm talking about --"

"Hey, gang," said a voice from behind Willow. "What's up? And what's up with the wardrobe change, Willow? God knows I teased you about your clothing choices often enough in high school but I never thought you'd go to these extremes."

Willow just rolled her eyes and sighed. "It figures that she'd show up here," she said.
