Road trip!

It wasn't far back to their car. Erin kept a more constant influence on the three before they got near it, making sure they'd leave their clothes discarded behind them.

"The pits being the immortality-giving hot tubs I've heard so much about?" Erin said. "I'm down with that. So how long a road trip are we talking? Not that the company isn't delightful."

She shifted happily in her seat. Nyssa shifted away, the unavoidable contact with her bare skin in the cramped back of the car plainly making her feel awkward.

Thea, meanwhile, yelped as someone drove past her side of the car; she crouched down, flushing.

"More than a day yet," Nyssa said. "Though I suggest we stop somewhere for supplies. Food, arrows, resources-"

"Clothes," Thea squeaked.

"Clothes," Nyssa echoed firmly.

Well, they could do without the latter. Maybe dump Roy so she was left with the more entertaining company, Erin reflected.

"We should keep driving for a bit," Erin said. "Get to know each other. Maybe decide not to waste money on clothes, how does that sound?"

Maybe it was time for a little honesty too; people didn't lie to their friends. If she encouraged more friendship...

"Wouldn't complain about that," Roy said, then coughed.

"Hey!" Thea squeaked. "I can't stay like this! As soon as we get somewhere I'm getting dressed, don't care if I have to steal it."

That's what she thought. Erin tried not to chuckle.

Thea yelped again as another car went by them; her cheeks flamed.

"I agree," Nyssa said, a touch breathlessly. "As pleasant as the sight of Thea is, it is not worth being stuck in this fashion."

Nyssa faltered when she realised what she'd said, unaware that the friendship exerted by Erin had plucked it from her lips. If possible, Thea got even redder to know everyone else in the car rather enjoyed her exposure.

"Three votes against one for Thea to stay naked," Erin said. "Two for two for Nyssa."

"Three for Nyssa, if that's how she feels," Thea said, still blushing.

"Then it's settled, no new clothes," Erin said.

"That's not what I meant!" Thea squeaked. "That's- that's not a vote. We're not keeping to that. Right?"
