Chapter 10 by Dark_Ness Dark_Ness

After lunch

Put your things away before heading out

Before departing on your sure to be fun filled afternoon with Paul's mom and sister, the pair of you excuse yourselves to what is meant to be your bedroom for the duration of your stay to drop your things off. Paul's old room. As you step inside, you see that it's as luxurious as the rest of the house. A large room with a king size bed in it, a couple of dressers, and some large windows. It even has it's own bathroom attached.

"My mom likes you, I think." Paul says, dropping the luggage near the bed.

"Great, just what I want to hear."

"It is good news. This is what we were shooting for." he says.

"I know, but isn't that gonna make it tougher when Erin and you break up?" you ask, turning to look at him. Concern flashes across his face.

"Yeah, maybe." he relents. "We can figure that out later."

"You can, you mean." you say. "We'll also need to talk about the sleeping arrangements."

"What about them?"

"We're not sharing a bed." you say. Paul looks nervous again. "No, no way."

"What if someone walks in? How do you explain that?" Paul asked.

You groan. You don't really have an answer.

"Besides, we'll both be out for a good chunk of the night at the parties. When we do come back, we'll crash so hard that nothing could feasibly happen."

"Yeah, I'm willing to bet you'll behave just fine around this body after a night of seeing strippers." you say. "We'll figure this out later."

Paul sighs. "Fine, fair."

With your luggage put away, you turn and leave the room. Your eyes scan the walls and settle on a family picture from quite a while back. Probably from when Paul was in high school. In the picture, you see a very different Cindy. Her brown hair dyed black, with makeup to match. She also looked very unhappy. A far cry from the chipper girl you met earlier.

You point at the picture. "What's the deal there?"

"Eh, Cindy went through a rebellious phase. What kid doesn't, right? Pissed my mom off, though. But, eventually she grew out of it. Now they get along great."

You nod and turn away from the picture. You make your way to the front hall where Cindy and Marcia are waiting.

"Ready?" Cindy asks, her voice still full of sunshine. You can't help but smile back.

"Sure, let's go."

Where to?
