Purge Night (alternate)

Ladies and Gentleman, tonight a purge night will be in effect from 8:00 pm tonight to 8:00 am tomorrow morning. Be safe.”

Mackenzie turned off the tv and sighed. Tonight was going to be a living hell. Best case scenario she is a nervous, worrying wreck. Worst case scenario......she prefers to not think about it.

She prepared for the annual purge night by buying her first firearm and a couple rounds of bullets. Up until this year Mackenzie lived with her parents. This will be her first year dealing with the purge on her own.

Looking over at the clock, Mackenzie gulps when she sees the time: 7:42. The Purge starts in 18 minutes. Mackenzie had locked and boarded up the doors into the house as well as boarded up the windows hours ago, but even so she checks it all anyway, every window, every door. Then she heads over to her linen closet in the hallway to get her pistol and ammo. As she walks over to it she sees her reflection in the hallway mirror. She is wearing a white tank top, jeans, and she is barefoot. Her black bra is barely visible through the white fabric of her shirt which accents her ample breasts. Her jeans are form fitting but comfortable. Her fiery red hair is pulled back into a ponytail.

Finally Mackenzie heads back into her living room and she sits on the couch, her pistol in hand with ammonition beside her. She’s ready for anything. Or so she thought.
