You quickly, but quietly, hide...!

You manage to pull yourself to the opposite alcove, carefully searching for a place to… there! A few stacks of pallets lining the wall!

As the men continue to argue, you stealthily manage to enter the space between two large stacks, noticing now that there’s even a tarp spread between them. Even better!

You carefully settle down onto your knees, noticing the ground here is softer than you had expected, the space littered with newspaper and cardboard. You carefully and meticulously pull the tarp over the entrance to your hiding spot as you avoid slipping on any garbage underfoot. You were in complete darkness now, but still had the advantage of being able to peak through the wooden gaps to keep watch. You shuffle around and watch the men, silently begging them to go back inside…

“Hey, Tommy, did Ashley or Rebecca ever get back to you? I ain’t fucked in ages!”

“Nah, man, none of the usuals been open all week!”

“Shit… No booze, now no chicks? Tsk, ma-a-an…”

Hiding was definitely the right choice. Who knows what they’d have done if they had seen you…

When they leave, you think to yourself, Get the hell out of here. Until then, don’t make any noise and remain calm...

You repeat the last part back in your head a few times, your heart finally starting to relax. Still, you could feel it pound in your chest. Hiding in an alley in the city while fighting this new body’s urges… It was not a situation you ever thought you’d be in. You were supposed to go to a slumber-party. You were supposed to hang out with your crush and enjoy a simple night of fun. You were supposed to be a guy!

Your face starts to warm as the entire situation presses in on your mind, but you try to recall that "manly-stoicism" from before. Don’t cry, not now… managing to push it away, it comes out as nothing more than a quivering exhale…
