"Okay," said Ty Lee. "You know what this means, don't you?"

"Oh, no."

"We have to plot ****."

"No. No, no, no, no, no."

Several days had passed. They had, finally, left the town near the forest. Now they were headed up into the mountain, still hunting the Avatar. Ty Lee had hung back, letting Azula ride on ahead down the path, so she could have a quiet word with Mai.

"Mai," she said. "Come on."

"Can't we forget about it."

"Are you ever going to forget about it?"

"We're not plotting **** on Azula."

"Why not?"

"She'll destroy us!"

"You're no fun."

"It's just too dangerous."

"Spoilsport."

"I want to keep my clothes... you know."

"On your body?"

Mai brushed her hand down the side of her skirt, reassuring herself it was still there. It had been a long few days. "Yes, I want to keep my clothes on my body. Do we have to talk about this?"

"She's gonna do it again, you know."

"Don't say that."

"Now she knows you don't like it, she'll do it all the time."

"Come on. Shut up."

"I bet the first thing she does when we get to the next village is make you strip down and crawl down the street on all fours."

"No!"

"Just to be mean."

"It's over, alright? And we are never, ever, ever going back to that town in the forest."

"That's what she wants you to think. She'll get you naked again the moment she finds an excuse."

"I hate you."

"It'll be ****. You won't know when it's coming."

"Fine!" Mai yanked her riding lizard's reins, wheeling around to face Ty Lee. "What do you want us to do about it? She's Azula, you know. She'll see our plans coming a mile off."

"We just have to be extra sneaky about it. I'm pretty good at being sneaky."

"And then she'll make it twice as bad for us."

"We just have to let her know she can't push us too far." A devilish smile was playing across Ty Lee's face. "This next village we're coming too."

"Yeah?"

"You know it's famous for hot springs?"
