What's Kate's plan? Does she get someone's help, or does something happen to get in the way?
Trying to run home
Tentatively, Kate started to straighten. She stayed further in on the rooftop, trying to remind herself of her bearings. If she went that way, most places she could think of were there, from Mary's clinic, to her place, to her dad's, to the cave. That was definitely the way she wanted to head.
She could sort out where she wanted to go later.
She took a deep breath, quickly glancing around again. Uncomfortably, she noticed the building on the far side of the street. It was far taller than the one she was on, lights streaming out the window promising plenty of people were still at work there. She **** herself to look away, silently praying no one looked too hard at the building below them.
Trying to pretend this was just some other bit of training, Kate started running, feeling the wind whip past her bare skin, and she leapt off of strong legs over the alley. Her legs flailed, and she refused to look down, more worried about finding out someone below was getting an eyeful between her legs than she was about heights, and she grabbed hold of the top of the next building.
Quickly she pulled herself up, breasts brushing the edge of the roof, and she rolled up onto it. Kate took a deep breath, then stood up again.
This was so much easier with a grappling hook. Still, one down. Several dozen to go. Whatever the case, she really preferred to be up on the rooftops than the street below when she was naked.
Then she heard a sudden thrumming. Kate jumped, glancing back to see a helicopter coming down the street, an embarrassingly bright spotlight sticking out from it. Biting her lip to keep from making any noise, she glanced around the surface she was on, and hurriedly ducked behind a vent. She crouched behind it, curling up tight, suddenly very aware of her nudity.
The vent was between her and the helicopter, or would be when it and its light got closer.
She glanced out quickly before it got too near. Crows! They must've heard Batwoman had been seen near here. Shit, this was the last thing she needed while she was naked.
