Pre-Dinner Pleasantries

Your mom was overjoyed. "Chloe, you have to stay now too. Want me to make my special mashed potatoes?"

"Oh my god, YES!" Chloe cheers. Your mom's mashed potatoes was Chloe's favorite food in the whole world. The joy on her face was like that of a child. Pure and unrestrained. Fuck, your little cousin was nutty as a squirrel, but her positivity and energy was down right infectious. "Yes, yes, yes! Can I stay the night Auntie Helen? Please!"

Your mother kisses her cheek. "Of course my little ladybug, you can sleep in with me."

"Oh boy!" Chloe was practically vibrating with excitement.

"These must be some mashed potatoes." Allison says.

"They are!" Chloe assures her. "Nice and white and creamy. Thick and hot and steaming." She throws her head back and like Homer Simpson makes a sort of groaning gargling noise. "Augghhhh." Your mom smiles at her niece's over the top dramatics, more than a little flattered at the compliment.

"They're not THAT good." She giggles as she hugs Chloe into her bosom once more.

"Hey, I bought some wine." Fiona informs you. "If you want to stick around for the night Allie we could all drink. I can drive you home in the morning."

Allison was a bit taken aback by the suggestion.

Your mother chuckles and waves her hand. "Don't worry honey. You are in a judgment free house. I know what boys and girls you and Jesse's age get up to. I'd rather you were here safe and sound than running around out there somewhere."

Allie looks at you perplexed. You smile and shrug. "We're kinda...open and honest about certain things."

"About SEX." Chloe chimes in with unnecessary clarification.

Allison laughs. "God, you guys are kinda weirding me out here." You could see by her relaxed posture she wasn't actually offended by any of this. "But, um, I mean if you guys don't mind."

"We don't." Fiona says. "Jesse's got a small...bed, very small, but I am sure you can both squeeze in there. I keep telling him, girls don't want boy with a little single mattress." Jesus, she was making fun of you in plain sight. Though Allison surely wasn't catching the joke. However, Fiona was right, it would be a tight fit...

Your eyes widen as it finally hits you. You look at your big sister and your eyes tighten to a glower. She had done all of this to get Allison to sleep with you tonight! This was about the No Nut November wager! You growl under your breath. "You son of a..."

Her intense eyes dance with humor and naughty suggestion. "I mean, I've got a lot more room in my bed. Mine is MUCH bigger." She gives your girlfriend a flirtatious wink. "But I think we can talk about that after I get you drunk." She smiles a most charming smile.

Wow! Fiona was being....nice....funny....charismatic. You had seen your sister turn on her charm a few times out in public. When she really wanted to Fiona had a formidable and magnetic personality. You weren't used to seeing it on display here at home. It wasn't so much what she said but how she said it. Her gaze, confidence, and dominant body language always able to fill a room.

Allison lets out a loud laugh. You weren't sure if she was flattered or amused by your sister's joke. She leans in against you, holding your shoulder for support. "Oh my god. I love your family Jesse. Ha ha ha ha!"

"Yeah, they're something." You say. "If you don't want to stay the night, that's okay. I'm sure you must be busy with...stuff."

"No, I would love to stay." She leans in and kisses your cheek, whispering in your ear. "I can't wait. He he he."

"Very well." Your mother says, happy as a clam. "Well make yourself at home Allison. Our one main rule is that we respect each other's privacy. No walking in on others, no going into anyone's room unless invited, that sort of thing. I must insist on this."

"Oh...yeah, of course." Allison nods. "No problem."

"Rule number two. If you hear a bed a-rockin, PLEASE come a knockin!" Chloe chirps.

Your mother blushes. "Chloe! Behave yourself." She lets out a nervous laugh. "She's just joking around."

"Sure." Allison is shaking her head and chuckling. She turns away from the others to face you. In a low voice she says to you. "I love them. You are so lucky Jesse. These guys are hilarious."

"Yeah, a barrel of laughs. That's us." You sigh. This might end up being a looong night.
